I consider this a hidden gem in my collection. Its a great filler game that we often play 3 or 4 times in a sitting. Get it and play it.

One of the most fun games to come out of Essen 08 for me. Light enough, quick, attractive, and I feel like I'm getting better at it with practice. Real keeper.

Great little hybrid of Take It Easy and Carcassonne. Even though this game doesn't pretend to be anything else, it is still very very satisfying. A little more than a filler, but not meaty enough to get lost in. Definitely worth picking up if you are a fan of Take It Easy or Wuerfel Bingo. I moved my rating up a full point after additional plays. Excellent game.

Great multi-player, tile-laying puzzle game with near infinite replayability. This is quite addictive and fun. I would check out the online implementation on that French gaming portal.

Players are each constructing a city, using an identical tile set, but trying to outscore each other at the end of the game. Fun, fascinating little filler. One player mixes their 24 tiles and sets 8 of them aside unseen. The rest are drawn and announced, one at a time, and each player fishes out that tile from their own set and fits it to their city. City tiles feature parks, terraces, attractions and water, and scoring pawns are placed on these features to trigger points at the end of the game. Optionally, pawns can teleport to the new tile, or move one hex across the tiles. After the 4 x 4 city is finished, points are totaled. Fun game, over in 15 minutes, and the rules include 3 levels of scoring that increase the decisions and placement options. Perfect blend of Carcassonne and Take It Easy, but a lot faster than both of those two games. Excellent.

There is a great deal to like about this title. First, it's inexpensive and has a lot of replay value. It CAN get the feeling of being the same thing after a while, however it is not a show-stopper, as trying to optimize your city in each play always forces you to make a variety of interesting choices.

Second, it is a game that can be played solo or with many others, depending on the number of copies you have -- without losing anything. In fact, with more players, there is more of a challenge in my view.

This is a brilliant gem from Martyn F.

After almost a dozen plays, this is one of our favorite games. At level 2 and 3 it is a fun strategy game that can be played in about 15 minutes. It's easy to learn, but there are so many ways to place the tiles and meeples. It also gives us an excuse to use our custom meeples.

This is a pretty interesting tile laying game, very puzzle like. It plays nicely with any allowed number of players, or solo. It offers lots of re-playability, and a real "obsession factor." After playing once, I immediately wanted another crack at it, to top my score. I never did, but I had fun trying.

Exactly what it sounds like. Take it Easy + Carcassonne. If you think you'll like that, then you'll like this.

I thought it was a superb game. Tons of interesting decisions to be made in a very short time period.

And the idea of around 4 levels of scoring is just silly. We played the "expert" and it was still easy to understand. I could see having another style just for kids maybe, but ~4 is ridiculus.

The actual game play was a blast. All the little optimizations and trade-offs were well highlighted. Every decision was quite interesting.

Yes, this IS a cross between Carcassonne & Take-it-Easy. Many tricky choices, but this is still pretty light fare with a huge luck element. Doesn't outstay its welcome though.

I bought this untried in Essen. My trust in Martyn was fully vindicated, this game is EXACTLY my kind of game. Totally visual, very fast but open and flexible play, some brain burning, but I come out the winner. I totally enjoy the multi-solitaire play in this game, exactly the same as in Take It Easy. I give this an 8 today but I can see my rating going up.

I won't speak on this being a cross between Take It Easy! and Carcassonne, because eleventy-billion people have already made that comparison. What I will say is that this game is addictive and challenging, plays in a short amount of time, and has a high, high "One more time!" factor. Of course, I'll bet that the same eleventy-billion people who made the TIE + Carc comparison said the same things, so I suppose I'm being redundant, regardless. Just play the dang game. It's a lot of fun.

Multi-player solitaire, but in a fun way. It takes only about 15 minutes, so that's hardly a strike against it. It has that certain X-factor that makes you want to play again right after the first (or second) play. A perfect filler for any number of players (provided you have enough copies).
