One of the dynamically most interesting games out there. Theme fits perfectly. Great timing game. (Played the designer's final version as submitted to publishers.)

I have played Black Friday many times now, and it really is a gem of game design! The system of counters in a black bag achieves the goal of introducing a limited randomness that can be mitigated very successfully by the experienced player. The way that the market rises and then is forced down towards the end of the game works very well, and does trigger a race to "get out" which is really fun to be caught up in.

I like it for a similar reason to Modern Art and Container, i.e. the purity of the economic simulation - even though it takes a different approach to those two (you play a market that "exists", rather than creating a market between players). Credit to FF on this one - I think he has succeeded in simulating something quite difficult to model and, in doing so, he has also created the first pure economic game that plays as well with two players as with five!

It is criminal that the poorly written rules seem to have undermined this game's popularity. Get hold of the re-write on BGG if you buy this game.

My favorite board game! Sadly, some less than stellar explanations in parts of the rules, but once it's ironed out, it's a blast.

I love the game. But the rulebook is awful. Look at the examples in the rule.

This is a cool stock market based game. Watch out for the crashing market! Lots of laughs when the stocks plummet late in the game. Our group had the pleasure of playing this with Friedemann himself teaching it to us and everyone who played enjoyed it and laughed along the way.

A little dry, but an excellent game with a very realistic feel to the stock market process.

I rather liked this one. It has a very clever and interesting market mechanism that makes for an interesting game of evaluation and timing. The rules are not as bad as their reputation; this is just a quirky game that takes some time to suss out, and if you want to teach your group, do yourself a favor and pull everything out and go through the motions of a game to learn it before trying to teach. It's not hard, but as I say, it's quirky and unusual and hard to intuit.
