A trick taking game that I can actually figure out how to bid properly *more often* than the rest of the group. This score possibly reflects that I win frequently.

Hard to explain, but great fun!!! The kids and I play this for hours. I actually made a second game from 81 oversized playing cards.

Difficult to master trick taking game. 12 suits, 4 suits per card, 27 cards per suit, and the first player each hand picks one of the four suits on his card.

Not good with only two players. This games seems to shine with 4+ players but I haven't had the chance to try with 8-10 players yet.

Ah yes, I was wrong about Sticheln being the best non-team trick-taking game, this one is better - and it even works with only two players, for a change.

This is THE most challenging trick-taking/bidding I have ever seen. It really messing with your head. I love it, but I can never seem to get people to play it. I would probably rate it higher if other people would join me in a game or 2!

Traverse brings together the best elements of Chinese Checkers and Chess. It object is the same as Chinese Checkers, but each piece moves in its own unique manner. The game moves quickly, but strategy is absolutely necessary. A great game for all ages.

I believe I received this as a Christmas gift. I had played Dale Boan's copy once. 3x3x3x3=81 unique cards. I should give it a try again. By the makers of Quiddler.
The only game I own beginning with the letter X!

The game is interesting due to the '12 suits' in the game. It's a little hard to teach to neogamers as the boss cards are not always clear to them. The large number of suits make predicting the number of trick you'll take harder and leads to low scoring games.

Too complicated for social-neogamer types and too random for the 'analytical big-brained' gamers. Who is the target market for this game?

Clumsy card design, especially coming from the makers of the absurdly elegant Set, but a good, interesting trick-taking game, with plenty of opportunities for placid spite.

A very good trick-taking game which has simple enough mechanics to learn quickly but enough complexity to make it thoroughly enjoyable for a 'bridge club' style of play.
