Played a few times now, and I really like it. A bit like Hearts but much more interesting. The implementation of theme is cool, comparable to The Bottle Imp. There is a fairly high luck (bad luck!) factor but I think skillful play matters more. The play is fast and fun.

Really like this game. Well integrated theme and some very unique mechanics. Recommended. Rating will likely go up with more plays.

A clever twist on trick taking, with some room for maneuvering. Learning definitely occurred several hands in. Much better with 3 than with 4. Just more control.

I couldn't get my mind wrapped around this one, but I think my rating my improve in future attempts.

It seems to work quite well with three players.

The Crow & The Pitcher is an intriguing card game where players attempt to capture Water (Blue), without getting Stones or Pitchers (Black).

Each hand is played with a Pitcher card as a Point marker, Lead determines suit for the Trick, and if the total points of Lead suit cards with values less than the Pitcher's is also less than the Pitcher, low card of suit takes the trick and the Pitcher. Otherwise the high card of suit takes the Trick alone. If Black (Stones) are led then high card takes the Trick, but not the Pitcher.

Higher value cards are lower in Water value, but less likely to capture the Pitcher, Lower value cards are far more likely to capture Pitchers but have more Water to offset that.

It makes for an interesting game, which does reward those who remember cards already played somewhat, but it rewards good hand management more, and avoiding big negatives.

The theme matches the artwork and cards nicely.

On a 1st solo play for basic mechanics I am starting this at a 6.75. I like trick taking games with a twist, and this is a nicely designed one. With more plays this may go up from here; it's a card game with some merit.

I'm not entirely sure if it's a good game or merely okay. I need to play a few more hands to get a better handle on it.

I like the theme and liked the art as well, but this was a fairly uninspired trick taking game that I think most people could do without. There's so many better games out there that do the same kind of thing.

First impression is a bit jaded yet due to having only played one time with someone who never grasped how to play well. Concept is quite interesting; not sure if one really wants to lead too often unless you incentivize opponents by playing a low value, high point card. Odd twist to the game with the pitcher cards providing the goal to be reached in the color led (if the goal is not reached, the lowest card of the suit led gets all the cards and the pitcher card as well which is -5 points!). Game has some similarities to Hearts.

Decent trick taking game, but not as intuitive as I would expect a trick taking game to be. Would play it but given the chance to play a trick taking game I would probably go for a different choice.

convuluted and clunky, I give them credit for trying to make a playable 3 player card game. It's playable. Card games where every card has a pt. value different than it's rank just annoy me, isnt there a cleaner way to do this? Especially when with all the penalty pts and positive pts and the lack of control they mostly wind up cancelling each other, wish this could be more elegant. Turning over a pitcher card every trick is also clunky and having to work out the rules for the trick taking where kind of convuluted, although this would probably get better with more plays. Rating may go up with time, but it'd be hard to get me to play this again as the lack of elegant design will probably always hold this back.
