This extension eliminates serious bug of uncontrollable first player movement and its impact on final victory. However it seems to be developed in last minute before Essen fair this year. I love this game and will certainly buy it but I'll wait for the second edition where this expansion is integrated with the basic game ;-) The game without this element is significantly worse.

Essential, the base game should have come with it rather than the rotating 1st player.

Must have expansion. It balances the first player advantage in the first round. It is very unfortunate that this rule was not included in the rulebook of the game.

Always play this the order board. Love how this is a resource to manage now. It was slightly imbalanced when you passed the turn marker.

An interesting game. It really was a minor stroke of genius to use so many of the well-used mechanisms of euro action-phase, placement and car-draw games in complete reverse. Basically the designer makes the players do what feels like exactly the opposite of what they usually do - that is play to lose. Strip this away of course, and it still actually the same stuff...you are still deciding what to do to win and having to choose between an array of attractive options and synergies to do so. I guess some people will, as always, state that this is yet another pasted-on euro them only done slightly more cleverly. Well yes, and Dickens was just a writer, and Picasso just another painter. I've never bought that cynical stuff.

The truth is that actually this FEELS very refreshing. The theme does work and it is a game that has enough interaction and detail to offer lots of repartee between the players (especially the hiring of "the ladies" in our group).

I'll see how my thoughts on it progress with play. My only complaint was that the rules hang together very well and are totally coherent, but they were still devilishly difficult to get your head around first time. I wonder whether a brief intro to how things work would have helped for that...something like they have on a player help sheet.

The game is ripe for an proper expansion - more cards and another planning board. I look forward to that.

The value is questionable but I think it's worth having. Makes the game more strategic.

Necessary once you've played at least 10 times. Before that, not really needed.

I consider this part of the base game, and we play it as such (without tracking it as an expansion). It's good. The board matches nicely, the quality is the same, and the only thing that bugs me about it is the absence of a sheet of rules in the little packet; that's kind of annoying.

I always use this. I'm not quite sure why it wasn't in the original box, because in all of my games of Last Will the turn order track is often hotly contested at key points in the game. I wish they had made it out of slightly thicker cardboard, mine arrived folded almost in half...

The base game. There are 7 rounds. That's meant some players have first pick twice, and some other have only once. With this expansion, If you really want to be first. Now you have an option to do that.

Originally misunderstood the reason for this board. It is to give a place to change the player order.

Doesn't get used much in a 2 players game, but the more players, the more it will be used because it is annoying to be the 4-5th to choose.

I like this better with the expansion as there are ways to get 3 hats/errand boys. If you don't get 3 it is really hard for somebody to not keep first a lot.

Not really necessary in a game this quick but since you often run out of meaningful options for the second hat, might be worth a try.

The graphic design is inferior to the base game.
