I'm amazed to find I rate this higher than the base game, but I think the Treasure Chamber has not only reignited my desire to play Alhambra but vastly improved my opinion of the game. With one or two more expansions this game would become immensely replayable because of a vast amount of variety. This is a fantastic place to start with expansions as well. (I'm still impressed how well the treasure chambers, especially, fit into the game.)

Three of the four mini-expansions are very enjoyable and fun additions to the base game.

The Treasure Chamber and Bazaars add new ways of scoring into the game, thereby removing part of the importance of wall scoring. Wall scoring tends to be the focus of the base game and these two mini-expansions help to dissipate that.

The Master Builders gives players the alternative of an additional redesign action, which may only be useful occasionally.

The Invaders is the most innovative of the four mini-expansions. It adds the element of double-guessing other players and planning the building of walls ahead of each scoring round and "invasion". This certainly ups the intrigue factor of the base game.

The Power of the Sultan was the expansion that I had to get for Alhambra and it's additions remain my favorites. Nevertheless The Treasure Chamber has been a welcome expansion.

One of the best Alhambra expansions.

Bazaars are perfect and my favourite part – they add tough decisions and require to take into account yet another dimension when carefully planning your Alhambra.

The Treasure Chamber is very good – yet another category to compete in.

The Invaders are fine. They have impact on the game. You will try to defend against them (esp. before the 3rd scoring) although not at all cost. Sometimes the penalty might be bearable in the name of the greater good.

I haven't played with Master Builders yet, but they seem very situational and having the least impact on the game of all 4 modules. I'll verify it as soon as I have a chance.

More variation keeps the game entertaining. I like the bazaars and treasure chamber. These expansions make it more worthwhile to be more selective about what you buy. Hoarding currency is rewarded more than in the basic game.

Definitely the expansion set I would get if I were to only pick one. The bazaars and treasure chambers add additional opportunities to score. The attackers have minimal impact but are just plain fun! And the architect cards give you additional flexibility in building your Alhambra. A great set of expansions.

The Bazaars - My main reason for getting this expansion did not dissappoint. When you aquire these it becomes important not only to place your walls in a favorable position but to collect the right color tiles. More decision making is fun!

The Treasure Chamber - I think I like this expansion even more than the Bazaars! It still adds an additional level of planning to the game but doesn't really effect how you build your city. We also enjoyed being able to mix currency for something once in a while. Lastly, the scoring for these doesn't feel as convoluted as the Bazaars.

The Master Architects - Not yet played.

The Invasion - Not played... not likely to try.

A nice little expansion (actually, 4 mini-expansions that can be used independently or together) that doesn't radically alter the game in any way, but adds a bit of scope and a lot of replayability value to the good old Alhambra. Very good.

I'd play this for variety, but it adds length without adding depth. You're still at the mercy of the currencies available and what tiles come out where. Adding new market tiles requiring exact money simply exacerbates it, locking you even more into the luck cycle. But the added decisions on when to go for markets and the colour targetting for treasures add good variety when tired of the vanilla game.

I like 3 of the 4 modules in this expansion. The bazazars can add some great end game scoring. The treasure chambers are a powerful way to obtain points and the Invaders are a good way for the leader to lose a few points. The master builders aren't used too much.

'The Invaders' can really change up the gameplay since it puts you on the 'defense' in how you arrange your Alhambra, and has you vying over those Scout cards. 'The Bazaars' and 'Master Builders' feel thematic but are not modules I'd go out of my way to use, and 'The Treasure Chamber' itself is a little arbitrary even though it looks cool.

The Treasure Chamber

Nice addition. An extra scoring type is especially nice in games with a larger number of players (5-6)

The Architect Cards

I don't like these at all. They remove most of the downside from poorly constructing your Alhambra and completely remove the remodeling actions from the game.

The Bazaars

These are the opposite of the architect cards. Suddenly you have big bonus potential from carefully planning and getting the right buildings int he right places. Be careful NOT to play this one w/ the architects.

The Attackers

I wanted to like this one as it adds more thought to the wall configurations, but the overlall impact is just to small to worry about.

So far I've only played with the Treasure Chamber expansion. It adds another scoring area, which is nice. A lot depends on how many players are going to pursue that route. Being able to mix currencies to buy the treasure chests is convenient, but you need to have the right mix of tiles in order to acquire the chests. You don't really ever want to have to pass any of them on to the other players if you can avoid it. It is a nice addition - not essential, but good.
