Have not played with this yet, but would like to! Keeping units in production tied to the map physically is an aspect of complexity I would like to see applied to all features of WiF. So, of course, I will be adding this to my next game. If I recall, it also came with a countersheet called Commandoes in Flames and introduced the 3d10 combat chart with tactic cards.

Perhaps not as innovative as it sounds in the description. All it does is get rid of the producion spiral and replace it with individual tracks for each city. The 3d10 combat system allows incremental losses to units, which can be rebuilt using the new system. Offensive chits are also altered. There are also new counters for special forces units (the Russian Spetznaz should really be OMSBON, but never mind). The best bit are the specialised industry counters, which let you choose the particular unit of the appropriate type rather than drawing randomly from the pool (a bit like my Boffins in flames variant in the files section, yey!)

The game's not worth the candle. Waaay too much effort and detail for a game that has 3 month turns. maybe when they do diviion-level WIF it might fit better.

This adds new, detailed production rules to WIF. The magazine it is included in also has rules for 3d10 combat, designed for use with Factories but supposedly can be used without Factories.

I like the way this gives the factories in WIF some personality, but not sure how it would play....
