If you like Tetris or skill games in general then this game is for you. Fun expansions and just general challenge level make this game worth trying over and over again. Always trying to break the high score.

I thought this would be my favorite expansion, but it is probably my least favorite. It, however, is the most different version.

No reason not to print out all three expansions to mix things up. The sides where you need to spell words are a novelty, but too far from the core gameplay to try often.

More boards for FITS simply means more scoring requirements to deal with. If you have all 4 expansions though it means a total of 20 boards. That means you could roll a d20 to randomly choose 4 boards for each play...fun stuff.

This is probably the most challenging of the expansion boards as it really combines the skills of FITS with good word play ala Scrabble.

Ted Alspach's free print & play expansion, and when printed on heavy, glossy photo paper & placed under the plastic guard that comes with the base game, looks like the originals. Better colors than Reiner Knizia's print & play expansion, and more variety.

In this one, letters are used to spell words, or select a section of the alphabet.

I rated the base game a 6.5, and am rating this higher because it is the most original of the expansions and because doing the work, yet offering it for free, is very nice indeed.

To truly appreciate this expansion, the player must be both a fan of Tetris and of word games. For those folks, this one will be a delight. For everyone else, this may be best avoided.

Boards 9-12
9: spell FITS (scattered x 5 on board) as many times as possible; +1/letter, -3/unused letter, -1/dot
10: make a word with leftover letters; +2/letter, -1/unused letter or dot
11: biggest alphabetically consecutive string of letters scores 1/letter; -1/unused or dot
12: make 2 words; +1/letter, -2/unused, -1/dot

Interesting idea, but makes the game go on too long for those of us who are not wordsmiths. Also, boards 10 and 12 can drag either at the beginning (if you try to figure out your words ahead of time) or at the end (if you try to use up all the letters you have showing). I imagine they'd get repetitive, too: find a good word (e.g., internationals) and try for it every game. For those 2 boards, it might be better to do something like this (to speed up game play, and also incorporate more of the create-a-word-out-of-these-letters skill):
- each player randomly removes some of their pieces from the game (the more removed, the longer word they'll need to come up with); maybe draw from the deck and remove pieces till a total of 8-12 (for true wordsmiths, use a higher number) squares are removed (e.g., the 5-square X and 3-square I)?
- require every other piece to be played (no more discards!)
- then, at the end, create word(s)
- reduce penalty for unused letters

I want to call this my favorite of the Brezier Games expansions as I like what's going on here a lot. The truth is though it adds greatly to the game length. Players begin to look at what pieces they have left even more intently trying to determine if they can get thus and such a word completed.

I do have this idea of labeling each "Set" FITS Base, MOTS, LOTS and BOTS as 1, 2, 3, 4, and then each side of each set as 1, 2, 3, 4 then throwing 2d4, one decides which set and the other decides which side to play. You would need this to do that.

An expansion from Bézier. I like this the least among all expansions. The board is too busy to read. And, it's too confusing during the game. Can leave it. It is no longer an approach family game with these boards.

Not sure about ths one - it kind of removes the fun and simplicity of FITS and adds a level I don't like.

I didn't like this expansion because it removes the feeling of the game. This game adds a lot of time to a game that is supposed to be a filler. I believe that AP will be present most of the times. Maybe for people that really like word games this could be a good expansion, but not for me.

The one I wouldn't bother printing out again...it's unique, but some of the boards are too open. I like the more defined rules.
