Edit: after multiple play I have to say this is the version to play. Adds so much more to the base game. I have tried and won with at least 5 different strategies. Multiple paths to victory make this a great game. This expansion adds more choices.

I printed out the new score sheet and laminated four copies. I have some grease pencils that should work. The new rules fix the one problem that I have with the game. It's shortness.

Having played the game as it is out of the box, and with this free PDF expansion, it's pretty clear to me that this is the game that M. Leacock presented to Gryphon Games, and the one that shipped is a simplified version with no trading or shipping. That said, the Late Bronze Age expansion is superior to the "original" game. If you like the core game, or if you played it and thought it was okay, but something was missing, you really ought to give The Late Bronze Age a spin. It's quite good.

This expansion looks magnificent.

This expansion makes the game unimaginably deep for what it is. The number of paths to victory are stunning.

I made this version from cardstock and some help laminating at Staples ($2). Plus a couple dry erase markers ($2).

It was worth it. That little extra puts a whole new veneer on the game, makes it last longer and the game has a more satisfying conclusion because of the expansion. Without it, the game is really too short.

Rarely play the base game any more as it tends to end to quickly - this expansion makes it a much better game without extending the play time by too much.

Adds more and more interesting developments. Each of the goods can now be spent with a development for additional bonuses.

Lengthens the game to 7 developments, which curiously, increases the importance of monuments since there is more time to build them. Improves on a very good game to make it great.

Improves Roll tt Ages immensely with the new trading and invasion mechanics, as well as allowing it to go on a little bit longer.

Essential variant for Roll Through the Ages. Makes a good game great, and lengthens it to the kind of play time it should have been in the beginning, along with several other tweaks.

Main changes:
● Game ends with 7 instead of 5 developments
● Four new developments (Preservation, Smithing, Shipping, Commerce)
● Adjustments to the cost and point value of five other developments
● Adjustments to the cost for monuments, which are all in play (even in 2-3 player games)
● Trading is standard
