abstract game in wich players try to gain influence in 4 different temples by playing 4 cards each turn. There are multiple paths to victory in this very fast playing beautifully designed 2-player game.
great worker placement game set in the Wild West. Players buy parcels on a lare piece of land among a river. On the parcels they can construct houses, ranches, saloons,...and lot sof other buildings. Each round they also pick a role (like banker, captain,...) wich offers them unique abilities. The game is played over 4 rounds, points are being bought with money, with diminishing returns as the game progresses.
I play this mostly as a solo filler game. Pretty fast push your luck game where you want to get as far as possible into the dungeon, beating all kinds of monsters and dragons, oh and there is loot of course.
my first bought dungeon-crawler. Offers simple and clear mechanics for a basic rpg experience. I like this game, with 5 playable classes and 12-ish like adventures this game has also great replayability
fast empire-builder kind of game where you try to score majorities in as much provinces as possible by picking one of the available cards each turn. There is also a set collecting mechanism that goes with each card. I kinda like this game, it's got a perfect duration for what it tries to offer.
I have much sympathy for the people at Fryxgames, their games are usually good, but they lack the publicity so most of their games are known only to a very small public. Didn't plan to buy this game at first, as my wife does not like direct conflict space games, but having hopes to get this to the table at my game group soon.
very simplified version of its famous big brother. The biggest advantage is that it can be played by 2 in like 10-15 minutes, not so much into this for the rest. I would strongly recommend Klaus Teuber's intended rules for this, as this makes the game a lot better.
worker placement set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons in wich you try to accumulate party members to solve various quests that will generate points. The game feels a little flat and pretty straight-forward. Good as an introduction to worker placement games.
card game with beautiful art and a short story included in the rules. Players are ghosts who try to frighten the new inhabitants of an old ghost house. Ghosts appear in 5 different appearances and colors and all have unique abilities. Players lay either a ghost card or a location card on a human inhabitant card, both trying to gain the points an inhabitant gives you when frightening him.
awesome Tactical game in which you try to form complex patterns used for summoning powerful beings. The summoned beings offer a one time immediate special effect or power that you will use to your own benefit or to harm your opponents patterns. Recommended for 2 players!
a game with potential. People gather their parties consisting of different kinds of heroes (over 60 to choose from) and go in a dungeon where the goal is to get the most value in treasures. Other players try to avoid you getting the best treasures and most powerful items.
