I own this as part of a 12-game travel set with miniature magnetized pieces, also includes checkers, backgammon, chinese checkers, snakes and ladders, pahrcheesi, tic tac toe, and several games I have never played, 9 men's morris, kono, horserace, horseshoe, and star.
I consider chess to be THE strategy game. How many other games have been studied in as much detail as this one, and have so many different names for opening moves, for instance? Why this game is rated so low is a mystery to me. It is a challenging game, but that's no reason to give it a really low score. I'm voting a 10 when I figure out how to vote for games.
Great filler game - is very easy to play for any length of time that you want, as the rounds are very short. Quite fun, trying to be the last person left in the round, or trying to hold on to the Princess card if you have it. More recently, I also acquired other versions - the Letters to Santa (Christmas version) and in April 2016, the Munchkin Loot Letter.
