reef encounter - what does what_v1_mms.doc (57 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This file is in MS Word and covers 2 pages. Print and laminate front-to-back for a nice reference sheet.

There are two primary purposes for this document:
1. Help new users figure out what all the pieces do and why they might need them.
2. Help experienced users review the rules before playing.

This is NOT a replacement ruleset and may not cover all the niggly details.

It is organized primarily by the various types of pieces and describes what they are used for. The 10 actions are covered, but in a non-linear way and (hopefully) in a more intuitive way.

CONTENTS:
p. 1
* Defining Eating vs. Consuming Corals
* End Game Conditions
* Larva Cubes - Required for Playing Coral Tiles
* Coral (Polyp) Tiles - For Growing and Consuming Corals
* Shrimp - Coral Protection and Ownership

p. 2
* Alga - For Flipping and Locking Coral Power Tiles
* Coral 'Power' Tiles - Control Dominance in Consuming Corals and Affects End Game Scoring
(Includes End Game scoring calculation and examples)
* Coral 'Power' Tile Chart
