This looks like a fun scenario - but how are people playing it?

Specifically, where do the German units start?

And the victory conditions seem a little vague - I realize the designer noted that it hadn't been thouroughly play tested yet, but was just wondering if anyone had thoughts as to how it has played out on your tables...

The Germans enter from the southern edge of the board in any order and on any turn (Although I suggest getting the troops onto the board as fast as possible.)

The Germans must clear all Soviet forces from the hill hexes on Map 6 and from the building hexes on Map 5 to win. As the Soviets go first, this allows the Germans one turn to clear any remaining units from these areas.

I find the Soviets can force a draw most of the time by occupying the village.
But this is a hard scenario for the Soviets to win because they must have a unit on a hill hex after the Germans final turn. I have seen it done, with some careful thought (sorry no hints!)
But just like in real war sometimes there is no winner after the battle!

Awesome - and amazingly quick response!

BTW, I like your "draw" rule. It reminds me of the scoring system in Steel Panthers (a computer based WWII game) - in order to "win" many of the scanarios, you couldn't take too many losses or allow the opponent to occupy certain areas, sometimes not accomplishing both would yield a draw. Your comment about "no winners" is certainly true.

ETA: How in the world did you even see this so fast to respond in less than 25 minutes??

I am subscribed to this game (So saw your entry)and you happened to catch me logged on to BGG at the right time!

FYI - This scenario is based on historical events which is why there are strange victory conditions
