This looks like some sort of variant map with optional rules? Checking the forums I didn't see anything about this custom map. Can you direct me to more information about this variant?
Yeah, sorry for not getting this online sooner. I think it took a week or two to be approved as well.
This isn't a variant actually, merely a customized version. The differences from the original game:
I used circular tokens for the players' pieces (rather than hexes) and cubes for the population markers (rather than those ornate black sculptures). The circles fit inside the hexes nicely. A 'plague' is just a population swap tile. The circles for plagues in the corner are putting your the population-swap tiles on when they're used. I think the original game used 'Nobles' as a class. I changed it to 'Samurai.' The Samurai token used in the original game is now just called 'Army.' Ronin are now 'Cavalry.' Click on the picture above for a more detailed explanation and pictures of all the pieces. The square tracks in the lower left corner keep track of how many of each class is left on the board. You'll see the download for the pieces below shows 14 population cubes, one extra to put on the track as an indicator. When a city is tied, you put your tied population cubes on one of the four squares on the right side of the board. It makes it easier to remember the rules for how the game ends. The five circles at the top are merely helpers used for scoring and tie-breakers to figure out who wins.
