Zendo.pdf (77 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
v. 1.2 - Reworked to include the "official" terminology list. I also made sure to add an explicit reference to the fact that koans are independent in time and space, which curiously is missing from the web version of the rules. (I have the boxed set.) There was an implicit reference near the end, but now it's clearer.

I wanted copies of various Icehouse games in a clean, fairly consistent format and in pdf to put in a binder. Want the rest of the games from the binder? See the geeklist!

If you are open to revising this, I would recommend adding a summary list of common terms used in koans, like "pointing at", "pip count", "weird", etc. The official cards had a list of these (that had a couple of useful ones missing) on a reference card, but I don't have it handy right now.

Having a defined common vocabulary makes it much easer for people to learn the game because they don't spend nearly as much time trying to come up with elaborate descriptions to get their meaning across.

This might help: http://www.koryheath.com/games/zendo/terminology/

Good call. I took out the rules element suggestions that I had originally inserted and then had to edit down the rules AND the 2+ pages of terminology. Yikes! It was harder than I thought it would be. Hopefully this new version is far more useful. I suspect that it will be.
