I designed this cheatsheet for playing with my inlaws.
They love the game, but have trouble remembering all the details.

This sheet includes:
> Step-by-Step summary of how to Collect Food
> Step-by-Step summary of how to Earn Victory Points
> Harvest Synopsis
> Basic Hints for how to succeed
> Chart of what to do with building resources
> Charts of Food exchange rates.
> Chart of Victory Point totals.

It is a letter-sized piece of paper, double sided.
The font is large (11 pt minimum).

It's intended to replace the little summary card, when you are playing the family game. It doesn't include information about what actions are in each stage, because that info can be confusing. It's only for the family game, because you should need this much help if you're playing the "real" game. Although it's double-sided, players will likely prefer one side or the other, depending on how they best like to take in information...

Enjoy!

Updated April 10th:
- The well price was corrected (3 stone instead of 1)
- The "specialist" major improvements were clarified (bonus points listed)

The .zip file includes 2 identical copies: a pdf for easy printing, and a word doc in case you'd like to edit this to better suit your fancy...

Very nice. The only thing I can see that may need clarification is the bonus points for the Joinery, Basketmaker's Workshop, and Pottery. Bonus points range from 1 to 3 depending on the amount of extra resources.

It looks like the chart is showing the cost of the Well as 1 Stone. Am I reading the chart in the correct manner? (If so, then there is a typo.)

Thanks Nate!

I've updated a corrected file: with the 3 stone listed, and also with the bonus point values listed for the joinery/pottery/basketmaker's (for Steven).
I'll note when the new file is approved.

Sorry that I didn't catch that typo before posting the file blush

(Now I'll have to correct my hardcopies too!)

What would the Internet be if we didn't have people to nitpick those that actually generate content?

This is not a nitpick as I don't think the cheat sheet would need to be changed, but this is more of a question. Under the ovens you state that only 1 (or 2) grain can be baked per turn. I was under the impression that it was 1 (or 2) per "Bake Bread" action. Is that right, or is it per turn? I'm just seeking clarification here (again, I don't think the sheet would need to be changed).

You're right, it is per "bake bread action."

I find that the whole baking bread process is really hard for non-gamers to grasp. It's something I have trouble with when I'm teaching the game because someone always forgets that it takes a turn to bake bread! This happens no matter how many times I repeat (and emphasize) the rule...

Oh well - eventually they get it, just after accusing me of "not telling them that".
