BigCheatsheetFotM.zip (70 KB) (Log in or Register to download.)
I designed this cheatsheet for playing with my inlaws.
So far we've just played with the base game, but eventually we will add in the expansion: and I want to be ready for it.

This sheet includes:
> Harvest Synopsis
> Description of each Special Actions
> Reminders of key points
> Summary of 3 Victory Point paths, including costs.
On the reverse:
> Chart of all Major Improvements

It is a letter-sized piece of paper, double sided.
The font is large (11 pt minimum).

It's intended for players that are familiar with the base game, but who still need to refer to a summary.

The .zip file includes 2 identical copies: a pdf for easy printing, and a word doc in case you'd like to edit this to better suit your fancy...

Enjoy!

Sheet says: "Stables are worth 1 VP each (fenced or unfenced)." As far as I can tell, this is inaccurate. Fenced stables are worth one point. Unfenced stables count as a used space, meaning they negate the negative point, however they are not worth a victory point on their own.

It's true that the fenced stable are directly worth one VP while unfenced stables are only indirectly worth one VP, by using up an unused space.

However, this cheat sheet is intended for new-ish players, and this subtle distinction is difficult for them (in my experience). So I simplified the issue by treating fenced and unfenced stables as the same.
I've found that players will come to understand that the method of scoring points is different for fenced and unfenced stables. But they will also "graduate" from needing such a big cheat sheet...
