Regex horizontal tuckbox for sleeved Modern Art cards.pdf (5.82 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
Ever had your sleeves caught in the flap of the tuckbox when you were closing it? So here's a new design with an horizontal layout that will keep your sleeved cards well protected.

This is a tuckbox for sleeved Modern Art cards, Mayfair edition. You will have to remove the insert in order to use it.

For a full list of horizontal design tuckboxes see:
Regex' horizontal tuckbox series for sleeved cards.

Based on the generator by Craig P Forbes.

This tuckbox was significantly too small for even my unsleeved Mayfair cards.

Edit: Printing the PDF straight from the Chrome browser PDF viewer didn't seem to adhere to the "print original size" (not "fit to page") request.

Hi Sam,

Did you make sure to deactivate the "fit to page" option when printing?

I use A4 paper size for the designs and the letter format is a bit larger. This causes no issue generally since the PDFs have a lot of margins, but it would cause Acrobat to shrink them quite a bit unless this option is deactivated.

Indeed, I turned off fit to page - granted I am printing on US Letter size paper - I just expected part of it to get chopped off. At any rate, it must be something screwy on my end if your cards fit in it when you try it.

Hi Sam

I would like to get to the bottom of it.

Can you measure the box' dimensions after you printed it?

Thanks

When I print the page, the length of the image is 10 inches (around 25.5 cm)

Hi Sam

The total length of the box laid down should have been 27.8cm so you are losing 2cm somewhere.

Here are the measurements on the original PDF, can you check against your print?

Interesting, I think the issue was in the PDF viewer I was using - when viewing the PDF in the Chrome browser and printing directly from there, it seemed to ignore my request to print in the original size. When viewing in Adobe Acrobat Reader and printing from there, it seems to print at the appropriate size - Sorry for the confusion!

Hemm... Interesting.

You probably opened an embedded PDF in the browser and then used the browsers print command instead of Acrobat's. This would first put all the browser's page decorations and then the file, resulting in a bit of shrink.

Another thing to add to the "don't do" list.

Happy gaming
