WOTR Ref Cards V1.docx (2.99 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
3 double sided player-specific comprehensive rules reference cards. 1 card for movement and hunt, 1 card for combat and one card for game turn, events, rings, mustering and politics. Should (hopefully!) make reference to the rule book unnecessary.
Sorry, as I said at the start of the rules, I dont have a decent PDF writer so I'm unable to do this. If anybody does, then please update them and message me the PDF and I'll upload a new version.
Hi again. A few people have been asking me for these in a PDF format.
There's an online PDF convertor at http://www.freepdfconvert.com/. You just upload the file and give them an email address and they send them back about 5 minutes later in PDF format. I tried it and it's incredibly easy and seemed to do a good job.
The only downside is the returned PDF is about 12MB, so I thought I better not upload that here. So if you want a PDF just give it a go
Thanks to Damon Asher (drasher25) for pointing me at this utility. Nice one!
Anyway, hope the cards help make your games a little easier. If they do give them a thumbs up!
I think my computer alters your formatting too - the background image is offest to the left half of the page. Maybe it's just because I use Word 2000?
I use the freeware version of CutePDF to create PDFs, it seemed to convert just fine. The final size was 1.6MB. Sadly, the background image's offset was also carried over
Great upload nonetheless - I only have the base game and am looking specifically for play aids that don't have the expansion rules.
Sorry to hear they were offset - I'd try the online convertor I posted above. They seemed to come out perfectly with that. They are quite large, but you can just delete the file once you've printed them out.
Glad you like them. I do have the expansion these days (I was very lucky and got a collector’s edition) but I'm not convinced I don’t prefer the base game. If feels more elegant and some of the rules in the expansion feel very ‘tacked on’ to me. I also don’t mind it being slightly unbalanced, it makes a ring victory for the FP more of an achievement.
