Technology Requirements for Various Effects, rev. 1.pdf (1.05 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This revision corrects the Angkor Wat and Cristo Redento errors, and adds the original Angkor Wat for the benefit of players not using the Fame and Fortune expansion.

Technology Requirements for Various Effects.pdf (1.03 MB) (Log in or Register to download.)
This file is a "reverse technology tree". Players look up what they want to do and this table tells them which technology is required to do it, and what that tech's level is. This includes the "Fame and Fortune" expansion.

Detail from a mug designed by my girlfriend, based on Agricola's "Pink Goddess" card (L-Deck). Now being the resident rules guru grants both tea and bonus points!

Very nice. I like the inclusion of the Wonder-cost techs and the summary of each resource's usages.

Technically, the "Angkor Wat" line should also be red, and the tech is "Theology"; players using that Wonder from the core set would still use "Philosophy", but would only reduce the cost by 5. "Cristo Redentor" is also a savings of 10, as opposed to 5 (both of which are due to the higher level of tech required to unlock the savings). But this is just more of that fanatic attention to detail that makes all of us at BGG so damned charming cool

Nice catch. I've uploaded a revision that makes those corrections. I omitted the original Angkor Wat because the Fame and Fortune rules made it sound like the new card was a correction, but your comment made me realize that some players may not have the expansion, so I put the original Angkor Wat into the table and italicized it as a mnemonic that F&F players should use the F&F entry for that Wonder.

This is excellent, my favorite of all of the player aids (and there are a lot of good ones).

Minor suggestion -- for the next version, could you add in parentheses next to the unlocked buildings the type of terrain they can be built in? I find this part tends to hold up newbies the most during the critical first few turns of play, since that is when you are most likely to want to unlock a building ability. This would take away their having to look at the market board and this reference sheet (or the techs). For the starred ones, you can put "any terrain, 1 per city". If there is space, adding in the building effect would also be nice, but not as necessary in my experience to help newbies catch on.

So, for example, you could have: "Barracks (any terrain, 1 per city, +2 combat_symbol)", and "Workshop (mountains, 2 hammer_symbol)", and so forth. (Off the top of my head I don't remember if Workshop is 3 hammers, so don't quote me on that 3 hammers, I am just illustrating the idea.) That way, the "what do I want to do" is complete for buildings and techs all in the same chart.
