!!!PLEASE REFER TO ATZ VARIANT 1.4 WHICH IS THE MOST RECENT VERSION!!!

Here is an addition to ATZ. 4 classes, 3 core skills. Players now have the ability to level up and gain more skills and abilities. New weapons with new abilities.

Version 1.1 with Equipment List and streamlined info. Note that this file only goes over character creation, individual story lines are in the works with unique options for both factions each Feedback is more than appreciated!!

Character sheets are now available, they were made with excel. these are the starting sheets, the final ones will be colored with some effects and details. Also weapon cards will be coming out at some point, for now an index card works fine. Also new enemies are on the way.

OK, since you asked
I like the general idea, but all the details seem too much at once.

Maybe make basic rules (drop quirks, weapon upgrades and some other things) and later introduce other parts of the rules that may even be limited to certain classes (e.g. only soldiers can use weapon upgrades).

After a quick look at the 1.1 rules I now have an idea how this could work.

Some details:
"air-dropped in to an unknown location" sounds a bit strange and I'm not sure what this means. Should the player counters be dropped on the game board?
What parts of the original general rules or special scenario instructions still apply?

You'll have to wait for the survivor and military missions handbook. =)

For now the survivors should be playable with the existing ATZ scenarios. The military faction players will be"air dropped into a random location" by doling a d4 to determine the location type (city, suburban, rural, downtown). The survivor campaign options will take place in am area they are familiar with and this will be reflected in their options, in example the survivors may KNOW where location A and B are and where they can find items A and D where the military faction may have to search more.


Note that the document covers the character creation process and their abilities, but the actual campaigns are pending. The survivor campaigns are well underway with the military dragging behind a little.

Still working on revising abilities, skills, classes and rules. Also still working to have another story writer help me out, currently I've only got about 5 full Missions with about 5 objectives each.

Additionally the class and skill abilities have been expanded to about 10 each instead of the 6 or so currently available.

exhaustive writings are still underway for the story to go along. since its a "Choose your own adventure" style it takes a bit of time to get everything connected. Additionally a few exciting things are in the works including Location Sheets for Interactive Maps, Challenges, Awards, Military Campaigns and side quests.

A little snippet on the survivor story, there are 3 (three) different paths to choose from the very beginning: Urban, Suburban and Rural with each of those having a seperate timeline and story impact. prepare to explore subway tunnels, subdivisions and rednecks.
