CAVEMAN - can your tribe survive is a survival game where your objective is to become the dominant tribe on Volcano Island. It's a harsh world, where marauding dinosaurs cause chaos, other tribes attack you, and you struggle to keep your cave kids survive into adulthood.
Players start from the corner spaces of a hexagonal island, and slowly spread out over the island, looking for resources to help them survive and prosper. The winner is the first player to expand their population from two to eight people, the first player to have collected all the available resource types, or the player who has made the most progress when the action card deck expires.

As you will see if you read the reviews here, Caveman has a particular objective - to be a fun light hearted game for kids and adults. We aimed it at the family market longer term, and have found it goes down very well for a fun evening of adults, or for teenagers, or for kids with parents. We have had teams of 7 year old girls playing it and having a great time, adults with wine plenty... you get the gist. There is a lot of strategy in it, but with lots of volatility and risk. It takes thinking and luck to win, but the light-hearted chaos this creates was indeed its aim.
If you want a game where thinking alone will win it for you then .... try our next game called COLOURS. It has no risk at all in fact, but is a fast moving, colourful and fun strategy game. This will be released at Spiel 08. "Minutes to laern, a decad to master" is the general consensus in testing and is the strap line on the box.
