Description

[Edit] [History]

In Loopin' Louie, a battery-powered motor placed in the center of the table rotates a boom with a little plastic plane. Four radial arms lead out to the players' homes and the egg chips they're trying to protect. Each person's home has a little lever, which is used to knock the rotating plane away from your egg chips and hopefully into someone else's. When only one person has chips remaining, he wins the game. Very silly and very addictive.

Technically, this is a kids' action game, along the lines of Hungry Hungry Hippos. After an appearance at Alan Moon's Gathering of Friends, though, it's had a renaissance.

Ages 4 and up

Winner of the 1994 Kinderspiel des Jahres. Reprinted in 2005, in a somewhat smaller scale, documented in A photo comparison of the Classic and 2006 editions.

Extremely similar versions of the game, but with different themes, are available. The game has also been republished as Bobbin' Bumblebee.
