Always alone... the definitive list of single player games.

I frequently see questions asked about what games can be played with just a single player, and while there have been several other lists created for this purpose, I aim to make this the definitive list. Please add any games I may have missed.
The two questions I always ask when looking at games are; "What's this about?" and, "Is this solitaire only, or can I play it with others?" To answer these questions, I have listed a brief summary of each game (stolen from the game's page) and listed the number of players supported.
All comments are welcome and appreciated.

solo dice game, kind of a fantasy-themed Yahtzee. Your party of heroes will face several encounters in a dungeon. Only needs a player sheet and some dice.

This is my little contribution to the genre...
Started out as a variant of Zombie in my Pocket, but it became so big and different that it warranted its own game entry.
The game focuses on the airborne drops of June 5th, 1944, to prepare the Allied landings. Play the game as a paratrooper, a spy, a French resistant, a pathfinder or even a German infantryman.
The game includes 44 scenarios, about 60 historically accurate weapons, players aids and all sorts of goodies. Also, the rulebook and the campaign book include historical background and notes.
Although the game is designed for solitaire play, it concludes rules for multiplayer (up to 4) and many 2-player scenarios (both confrontational and coop).

Sneaking Mission: Solo is a solitaire game of stealth operations. Players take control of a Special Agent, who must infiltrate the enemy base to recover the secret files, while watching out for Guards, Security Systems, and using strategic hiding places to avoid being caught!
SM:S's tiles are modular, so every mission will be different than the last.
Sneaking Mission: Solo is a free game, ready to play after printing a single page of cut-outs. Aside from that, all you'll need are a form of "blips" (such as game counters, small beads, or even loose change) and 1 two-sided coin.

Can go up to 4 players. The 1 player variant has you competing against yourself for your best score., and it's highly addictive.

Just ran across this one. From what I understand it is somewhat of a designers kit. You use the map tiles and rule set to design your own game and play co-op or solo. The components all look professional and the paper mini's look amazing (and cheap!!).
The forum on the main web site is very helpful if you want more info.
Great looking prodcut here.

Like many cooperative games, it can be played solo. Best is to play with a team of 4 crewmen.

Im not sure if the above item is D and D 4th Editon. Either way it is the 4th edition Im refering to.
Due to the combat heavy modules, a randomn dungeon generator in the Dungeon Masters Guide, the suggested tactics of the monsters this makes this an amazing solo experience.
With the all the contiually expanding source materials this is a solo dungeon crawlers dream.
Here's my quick review if you are interested...

I played a hell of a lot of this solo in my youth. Roll dice, figure out how to score with them. A supreme waste of time.

And while I was playing Kismet, my sister was sitting in the next room playing Yahtzee. I am not making this up. We played a lot of games together, but often we played separately. This says a lot about my family.
Once a day or so, one of us would report a high score to the other. Eventually it was taking me a week or more to beat my highest, but my sister was able to report a better score every day. One day she reported she had scored 1525. That's 325 on the grand total line plus 12 bonus chips. This says a lot about my family too, particularly why we were playing separately. .

This is a solo fantasy adventure game where you become the unfortunate hero that need to defeat the sorcerer who wants to destroy the world within 21 turns. You need to battle as many monster as possible, collect as many gold as possible, buy equipment to be stronger, and finally defeat the sorcerer (indicated at the corner right above the map), all within 21 turns.
All you need is two different tokens, a pencil, an eraser and this game.

This dice game used to be print-and-play... but will be commercially available at the end of 2011 (with solitaire rules and updated components).
In DDD, you must storm the beaches of Normandy to silence a machine gun nest. To do this, you will gather soldiers, recruit specialists, find items and muster the courage to move from sector to sector. Sounds hard? You bet!
A resource-managing and tactical challenge that's not for the faint of heart, playable either solo or in coop multiplayer.

You start with a random foreman and $60. Draw three load cards as usual. Pay $1 to upgrade to a random foreman if you like or $5 to go through the deck and pick what you want. However, when you discard a foreman it's gone forever; you only go through the unused portion of the deck. For every turn that you use your own track without adding new track pay the bank $1. Upgrading your train is $10 as usual. You win when you have $250 + enough money to cover $10 penalty for any large cities you haven't built track to, $5 for every medium sized city you haven't built track to, and $2 for every small city you haven't built track to. The rule about having to build track to anchor spaces before you can sail and dock in a foreign port is null. However, I don't see a point in hiring a ship when you can get where you want by ocean inlets even if it's a little further and that way you don't have the events messing you up if you are on a ship when you draw one. You will find out within 1/2 hour if you have a chance of winning or go bankrupt. Odds seem to be about 33% of the time you can win.

Still think one should be able to re-sort the list as one sees fit, hopefully that will be implemented one day.
This feature is fantastic and definitely the easiest way to accomplish SamNzed's request regarding searching for a specific entry in the geeklist. But another way is to use google. This works for anything and everything. In the search box, just type "site:www.whateversite.com/blah/blah search terms" and this will pull up pages in that domain/subdomain with those search terms. Example:
site:http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/11710 defenders of the realm
Pennsylvania
Córdoba
Thank all of you for this list.
