This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Stopped at Goodwill and found a glass chess set, complete, $1. My oldest has been begging to learn chess and I've stopped him from buying several cheap plastic sets at the thrift shops, so I was glad to find this.
This, $1. Now, before you turn your nose up at it, this game comes with two 10-siders, a six-sider, a blank six-sider and a large blank 12-sided die. The dice alone are worth a buck.
Was that the rummage sale on Grand Central Avenue in Vienna? My wife was in town for a bridal shower today and saw it but did not have time to stop. She has finally accepted my addiction/hobby.
Three historical scenarios are provided to allow you to re-create 'The Roaring 20s and the Great Depression', 'The Late 80s:Uncertain Boom' and 'The 70s: Oil Crises and Inflation'
The Mythic Tarot deck and book set. I thought there was/were a game/games that were played with a Tarot deck, so I bought this for $3.99 from GW. Either way I figured I could sell it for $20-$30.
Pleased to find this.Saw it in a back room of Charity Shop and asked if it was for sale. They said it had not been checked but I could have it for £2.00.Game is complete and with change of batteries worked fine
Converting the happiness from the hamsters saying "thank you" over and over again into electricity (inspired by Tanith Lee's books, "Don't Bite the Sun" and "Drinking Sapphire Wine").
Been wanting to try Heroscape for a while so when I saw this I was really excited, then saw that it was unopened and figured I should check what it's going for online (my practice for unopened games) Wow! My wife was pretty insistent that I needed to try selling this one before I was allowed to either open it or trade it. Ah well.
The numbers 66, 278, 366 and 602 are the winning tickets in last week's Thrifty Lottery.
