This is hilarious! You couldn't find enough Tom Waits fans to fill a Volkwagen for most of my life - yet every wargamer in the BGG community seems to be a closet Waits' fan!

Now what is REALLY weird is the ANGER, HOSTILITY and non-posts that a tribute list to John Lennon - a FAR more popular musician - drew a few weeks back!

I guess it goes to prove the point:
We wargamers are a weird bunch.

Not really that weird. Here you are going to find the comments "who is Tom Waits?" or "I don't dig his voice". With Lennon, a dissenting opinion about his status will ruffle some feathers with people since he has been deified among fans. That is not too say that there are not Waits fanatics... just that I think that people that don't like Waits will move on rather than bash him.

I am a Waits fan. Though I have never seen him live. I wish he'd tour more.
