Alesia is THE 'tactical problem' condensed to chits n boards. The alternating situation of the Romans-attack the fort or defend vs. the reinforcements is just insane. It forces the Romans to bring the pain early and often, and skillful deployment of the chariots as shock troops/battering rams to exploit weaknesses.
