This oldie has Boardspace written all over it. Since Twixt is the current #1 on this list, implementing *another* Alex Randolph game might make for a nifty two-fer release -- one hit and it's B-side. :-)

Edit:
And oh, you just gotta love the "strategy tip" in the uploaded rules file: "If you see a good move, try not to give it away to your opponent by staring at it"

I just stumbled upon this interesting chess-like game. It hasn't had many plays yet, but with the plays it's gotten so far, the comments have been rather favorable. There are some interesting twists and mechanics with just a simple hierarchy of three piece types. There are dual win conditions and two different opening setups. There are conditional piece "resurrections" (kinda like drops in Shogi), piece "devouring" (for defensive or increased drop option purposes), and ways to "control" opposing pieces when in a "zone of control". The game seems rich and well balanced with tough, tense decisions.

An elegant, finite, tile-flipping territory game.

Groups are flipped when they run out of true liberties, and false liberties turn naturally into eyes. Strategy is similar to Go, but life and death situations are very different.

I just found this "older" game from 1997. Just when I thought the connect-two-sides-of-the-board genre has been played out, I discover another one with interesting, refreshing mechanics. It would be nice to give this a whirl online.

Interesting, light, shared piece design with a mostly random setup and multiple move options. Scoring either 1, 2, or 5 points depending upon the piece. Remove piece(s) and converge to an almost empty board. First to 50 points win.

The only other Boardspace game that has any sort of element of bluff in it (that I'm aware of anyway) is Plateau. Here bluff is mild; The predominant skill is timing and being able to puzzle out the most efficient network for your high value pieces to race to your end tile. The modular board is interesting and something I don't think is represented elsewhere on the site. The scoring and how it relates to the attack/defense balance is also very intriguing.

This connection game introduces an altogether new mechanism to prevent deadlocks on the square grid. The implication is that every square is effectively connected to six neighbors, even though only orthogonal connections are used.

Intriguing tactics for a nicely paced game.

Drawless square board connection game with double stone placement and banned diagonal connections. Instead of placing one or two stones, you have the option of flipping a single enemy stone sandwiched between your own stones.

This is probably the best square board connection game with double moves and static (permanent) connections. But don't trust my word, just play it!
