Below is my Top 10 list of games covering Star Wars, in its many forms (e.g., movies, Clone Wars cartoon series, etc.). These are games that meet substantially all of the following criteria: (1) focus on Star Wars and related works; (2) captures the theme, look and "feel" of the Star Wars universe (not too abstract or dexterity based); and (3) fun to play. This is a list of the BEST! As always, your mileage may vary and some entries may be "controversial." As such, please feel free to comment, debate, or just express your own point of view. Feel free to thumbsup this list (to draw attention and more comments) or any pleasing, interesting or thought provoking entries. If I missed one that you feel is essential or I am "insane for not listing" (trust me, it has been said before), then by all means let the comments fly . . . just be civil. FYI - I am a sucker for comments and discussion and usually thumbsup most if not all of them.

I find that these lists sometimes are helpful for others seeking similar games and the more rich the discussion for more useful the list.

For a complete listing of my Top 10 lists, see--MetaList: Nap's Top 10 Lists.

As always, thanks for reading and participating!

The best SW game? I think so. A thing of beauty when it's all set up. Good enough to make you realize the climax of Ep. I was tighter than you remember. Flows smoothly, with little to no rule problems; excellent and concise rule book; Game can get stalled on occasion (Naboo player captures palace while Trade Fed player captures battlefield turns into a bit of a waiting game) but almost ALL games seem to come down to just the last second. Worth seeking out.

This is quite possibly the best Star Wars themed board game out there. The concept is solid, and the pieces are lovely. For a long time, this game was my #1 favorite ever. It still is kinda, because it remains a really well put together game no matter the number of plays.

I highly recommend this game (especially to Star Wars fans) as it is the best (IMO) Star Wars board/card game I own (and I have 11!).

--Darryl Jam (Jammer)

This is a great game that deserves to be listed as one of if not the best Star Wars game ever created, however I do enjoy Queen's Gambit. There is only one flaw in this game as I see it, there is no Qui-Gin Jinn. I know that a lot of people love all the characters, but if this game is to be better it needs Qui-Gon. All around a great game.

The Force is strong with this one! If there ever was a Star Wars game which captured the feel of the movies pretty well, it's Assault on Hoth! Relentlessly advancing Imperial troops rushing against badly armed Rebels... who will win? The Rebels, escaping narrowly with the 5th transport from icy Hoth, or the Empire, destroying the Shield Generator before enough can escape? Can Luke's Snowspeeder and the Force turn the tide? Find that out you will.

Sidenote: upgraded with Lego minifigs and SW PocketModels instead of the rather bland cardboard tokens in the game really makes it even more awesome! That's why I gave it a 10 instead of a 9.

By far one of my favorite versions of Risk. It seems the least "Risk"-like of a lot of versions, which for me personally, is great. The fact that each faction has a distinctly different goal makes for interesting games, and causes some fun diplomacy between the players.

My personal favorite Star Wars game, just ahead of Queen's Gambit and Epic Duels. You wouldn't think a sabre duel could be duplicated in card form, but the game is quick, strategic, and actually very thrilling to play. Unbeliveable comebacks are possible (I should know).

My all-time favorite game. I know people have rated this one low, but in my opinion it is a brilliant, addictive masterpiece. Maybe it's Star Wars bias, but every single time I play this I have a blast.
