I play a lot of 2 Player games, so geeklists discussing them are always handy. I created this meta list for myself but figured maybe it would be helpful for others.

Basically this is just a list of geeklists discussing games playable with 2 players (sometimes with more, but at least 2)

Some lists may be very old but a good 2 player game from 2005 should still be good for 2012. However some games may be out of print and expensive to purchase while others could be cheap and easy to track down.

I tried to make comments on each geeklist. No comments are meant to put down any geeklist, I was just trying to give a quick overview of the list.

Feel free to thumb the entries below that you think others should look at. I will try to occassionally arrange the order of the entries by thumbs received! I will just leave them in the order they are added

If there are any similar geeklists not listed below which you think should be added, just post the link to it at the bottom in the comments section

My geeklist asking the community to share their thoughts on multiplayer games (focus is usually on 60 minutes or less and 3.0 or less complexity). Do they or do they not play well with 2? Thoughts on game length and complexity and if they agree with what is currently on the game's entry page on BGG

At last updated this list to 101 entries! Over 30 games added! Most entries are short, but I still hope the list will be useful to you. I will not be adding any more entries after this though, and instead focus on a new list. Out tastes and thoughts have simple changed so much over the years that it is time to start fresh with a new list.

6 pages. Recent geeklist looking at 2 player games recommended in the forums when someone asks for suggestions. Naturally the most frequent recommendations are the common ones you see on typical geeklists, but some of the later entries (list is sorted by # of times recommended) are a bit less common. Plus, it's an interesting geeklist to see what the community refers. Take a look

4 pages. Mostly from 2009-2010. Although not stated in the description, it primarily features 2 player (or works with 2) card games ranging from No Thanks and Coloretto to Dominion and Race for the Galaxy. Looks like there a few non-card games listed as well. May only be 4 pages but terrific games on here and actually one of my favorite lists that I used when I started to build my collection.

2 pages. Still updated by its creator and focus on Kosmos 2P games. Definiately worth checking out as there are some great games from that series. Plus the creator has comments on the games he has played including some of the ones that aren't readily available in the US

4 pages. Most entries from 2010 with some additions since then. Focus on 2P games for couples with infants thus generally filler to slightly long than filler in length (a few much longer in time). Good variety of games including a few games not frequently found on other similar lists. Definiately worth a look, especially for couples looking for games under an hour (weather you have an infant or not)

Why is it that '90% fat free' sounds so much better than '10% fat'?

3 pages. Most entries from 2007. Focus on 'super fillers' which seems more like hour long games but lighter on the complexity side.

2 pages. Most entries from 2010. Focus on games with a push your luck mechanic, however, quite a few are noted by others as not being PYL. Still some good games on here but most are probably found on the larger 2P geeklists

Youmight want to add this one:

It's more a how-to guide, than a list of two player games, but it may still be relevant to those who come across this metalist...
