This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Yay i found another 1 of these again. I think its complete, but i bought it only for the "hands" as these are in 1 piece and complete in this one. Together with the one i already had i now have 1 in good condition.
Now lets get it on the table and smack the crap out of it.

Long time, no thrift everybody!
This isn't a thrift store find and I paid full retail. However, this expansion is OOP and there two copies on Ebay: buy it now for $99.99 and $5.50 bid with 9+ days remaining.
I knew this was at the store for weeks now. A buddy had let me know. I waited as long as I could, until I finally broke down and drove out to get it before going to a game night on the opposite side of town. Obviously, it was still there.
Edit: That $5.50 ebay listing is now over $50. Feeling better and better about my purchase.
My son and I along with a friend of his were heading out to Bull Run Battlefield to do a little hiking. We went by Unique to look at items they could use for their Odyssey of the Mind work they are doing (I'm their coach). We got some great ideas and it was very tempting to pick the items up as we saw them since on holidays Unique has a 50% off sale, but alas, I want their ideas to solidify more as a team. We did quickly scan the game section; the first thing I spotted was this market at $2.92, but only costing $1.46.
But it was this one in teh oversize section that really caught my eye. Marked $4.94, but really $2.47! Upon getting it home, it is overall in better shape than my current copy; in fact the cards show no wear, so maybe played once or twice? All the bits are there... (mine is missing one the explorers).
What does this mean? Redistribution in some manner... Something where geeks can get access...
Sort of a grail game for me since I have a complete collection of Perry Mason novels. $2.99 at GW in Plainfield, Indiana. Complete and ready for me to start screaming "Objection!" Of course, I'm sure the better half will respond "Overruled!" just like she always does ...
