Geek of the week is an open forum focussed on getting to know our Geek of the Week. It was started back in September 2005, by Andrew H (Critical Mass), and has been going ever since.
This is a list of all the GOTW's. It started as a forum thread. Andrew converted it into a geeklist but it was apparently lost in a freak GL-accident. So I've gone ahead and recreated it. Each item lists the GOTW, and links to their profile and the GOTW thread. The game for the item is that players all-time #1 game (or, in a few cases, my best guess). For each item, I have copied and pasted all of that GOTW's replies. If a GOTW is missing this information, I either haven't gotten to it yet or there are just too many pages and I likely won't get to it (they were too popular!).
Please comment freely, but only the current GOTW should add new items (with their information and favorite game).
NOTE: a simple list is in the Wiki area, HERE.

I'm not an ohmygoshIhaveasinglefavoritegame kind of guy, but Notre Dame has definitely spent the most time on the table out of my 10 -rated games.
If you want to see the others, you'll have to check out my profile or the Geek of the Week #227: zefquaavius thread.
Thank you, Grzegorz, for bestowing this honor upon me.

GotW #229 Tony FUNG (tonyfung1205)
My Pick for GotW: Masters of Venice Reason: This game is often overlooked. It indeed does a great job in delivering a tense economic atmophere in 2-hour game length. I enjoy the stock and commodity speculation engine in this game.
More Favourite Games: RoboRally, Tumblin-Dice, Lord of the Rings, Formula Dé, Adv. Civilization, Acquire, Le Havre, Ingenious, Poker, Subbuteo, TurfMaster, GolfProfi, Battlestar Galactica, Mystery Rummy Series, ...
Dream game to own: Crokinole (too huge to store, too heavy to ship to hk)

Edits: Corrected the GotW thread link. Made game items to links.

My Pick for GotW: Blink Reason: This game is special to me, because it was the reason I met Karsten Adlung at St. Gallen fair in 1995. And since then we became friends and I am part of Adlung Spiele.
More Favourite Games: RoboRally, Galaxy Trucker, Stone Age, Space Alert, Pandemic, Das Motorsportspiel, PitchCar
Some of my Games: Manimals, Flix Mix, Dots, Viele Dinge
Dream game to own: Zopp

Through the Ages - definitely worth the investment to get to know this game, especially if you ever played and enjoyed Sid Meier's Civilization II
