This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

figuring out where all these figures went was really hard... the whole Heroscape Expansion Set: Malliddon's Prophecy was there... all 4 sets... the 1X Roman Legion, Heroes of Bleakwoode and Grut Orcs were complete... Snipers & Vipers was missing one figure...
All in all, I'm very happy with my find of Heroscape... and I learned alot from all the research of what pieces go where, and what all the terrain are called... it does get confusing for a new-comer...
All of the above 11 entries came to $35...
Now my son has confiscated all of it and will be setting it up in the basement...
Laying next to Acquire was this beautiful, basically untouched game. Obviously it had been in someone's closet for eons. The box was bright white in unbelievable shape for $2.99 at Goodwill. Bonus was the original price tag for $2.76 from T, G and Y.
Being a comic book collector, this filled two niches!
When I saw the box it was in rough shape... beat up and crushed, taped on one side. When I picked it up a chicken token fell out. Uh-oh. Still I couldn't pass on it so I took it home. Luckily it's only missing 8 chicken tokens. Everything else is there and in fine working order. Now I just need replacement tokens and I can bust this out at the next family event!
But here's the game that got my heart pumping. Laying on the floor, amidst a throng of stuffed animals and baby toys was this favorite of mine. Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised that the previous owner had the forethought to remove the batteries and keep them in a separate bag…Oh the joy of no terminal corrision! Every piece present and accounted for.
We're all in this together, and we love to take a bath!
Had to pick up my wife at the airport today which means I stopped by the Savers in Springfield. It's on oasis for games relative to the local shops. Saw this immediately. $6.99 - it looks like most of the pieces are there, but I'll be inventorying later. Complete and unplayed!
Next up a real curiosity, a copy of the game shown - Zorro - by the UK company Chad Valley, but confusingly titled Walt Disney's Zorro Race Game - which is a totally different game in the 'geek database.
No pictures of my edition in the 'geek so pix to follow.
Dated 1962 and in remarkable condition for the year - all complete, and with the exception of the box lid in pretty good condition. I have hopes this may do well as e-bait.
All complete, car boot sale, £1.50.
Edit: pix of game added to the geek and image changed to show it.
