This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty but as always: add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad™, the Tape Monkeys™, and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Weekly Thrift List Wayback Machine The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly thrift lists through time, and will be adding stats and interesting tidbits for each week. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time
Our GeekGuild The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Do mind the stacks of prized games. Don't mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Be sure to bow before our King, HakFoo, and pay your due respects to previous Kings belial1134, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

This one was 4.99 at GW and I almost passed because the previous owner had written all over the box top in black sharpie. Then I though maybe goo gone would do the trick. Box is now like new and you could never tell it had been written on (this was only possible due to the glossy nature of this box).
Another day at work, another trip to the thrifts...
I stopped at the MCC thrift downtown today on the way to work. I don't go there that often because the hours aren't great and there's usually very little change in inventory from week to week. Today I found very few games on the shelf but a big pile on the clearance table. Oh, Touché! I don't recall seeing this one on the regular shelf. A friend of mine is looking for a copy of this, but there are two games with this name and I don't recall if this is the one. Oh well for 25 cents how can I lose? And guess what - It's the right one!
This version but with a sticker "new portable game board enclosed", and inside was not what was pictured on the front, just a flat board. Had standard checkers instead of the fitted ones that cover the spot exactly, I'm assuming they are replacements, but there were exactly the right number..so who knows?
which said he'd wouldn't be able to thrift until Thursday. So as a responsible PNW thrifter, I watched over his local thrift stores tonight, to make sure no one got away with anything good.
After work tonight, my wife and kids met up with me and we headed to dinner at the nearby pancake house before heading to Value Village where I found this game! Was listed once before on the weekly thrift lists, however that was from a FLGS, so this is the first from an actual thrift store. $4.99
