We can basically duplicate last year's intro!

It was another year of boisterous chatter and deep discussion as we looked towards the new Madness winner. For the third fourth year in a row, the same final four advanced. But a shake-up in rankings pitted arch-rivals, Twilight Struggle and Power Grid, into an earlier match-up. With Agricola free of Twilight Struggle, it easily moved past Puerto Rico. The title match featured a complete newbie to the final game and the four-time champion only the second repeat of a title match. The votes are settled, and we now crown the 2012 Aldie Award Winner, Champion of the Geek Madness Tournament!

Both games traded jabs with multiple ties the first day. But Agricola began to pull away. It kept a solid lead over Power Grid through the final days. Agricola becomes only the second game to repeat as Champion.

The Aldie Award Winner is Agricola.
Congratulations!

Poll
This year, the added tweak was for "vacancies" to be collapsed so that all write-in candidates were grouped at the bottom. Last year, vacancies were left alone and the top write-in nominations took their spot. It has also been suggested to included specific "chunks" of the seeding to be reserved for write-in nominations (as the NCAA does with the #12 seed in each sub-bracket).

(A "vacancy" is defined by removing similar games to other games in the Madness. For example, Dominion: Intrigue and Collector editions.)
How should this be implemented in the future?
Leave it as is (group them at the bottom)
Return to last year's method (sprinkle into the brackets)
Change it to fixed slots (groups of dedicated seeds)
