Welcome everyone to the May version of the games for Geekgold Geeklist. On the past months we have had some issues I want to apologize for. In between the work on the geek redesign and my wedding. Time has become a little problematic now. Add to that now that I will have to move. You see I have a terrible landlady and now there is some construction going on my house, on where it was my office, that meant that I had to move my stuff to the living room, and things went downhill from there. If all goes according to the plan, next Saturday I will be moving already, and then comes the chaos from having to setup everything on the new apartment, which will be smaller =( . Because of that, I making the minimum date for drawing be the 15th again. Anything less is guaranteed that I won't be able to update the tool.

In any case, thank you so much for sticking with me during these problematic months

These are the Rules

Who can participate?
Everyone can take part of the system, with the following exceptions: new users cannot list items unless they are a patron.

How to bid for an item?
If you see an item on this geeklist that you're interested in owning:
1. It couldn't be more simple. Just tip that entry 1 and you are entered to win that game.
2. Check the description to see if you are allowed more than one entry on the item, and if there are bonus for multiple geekgold bid.
3. The bid is binding. Which means that once you bid the item it is assumed that you read the entry completely, understood and therefore want to take part of the drawing. The lister doesn't have an obligation to give your tip back although most won't have an issue. If for some reason an user withdraws from a lottery and should not be chosen as an winner, the lister should contact me to have his name ignored.

How to put an item on the lottery?
If you have a game that you're willing to part with for a little geekgold:
1. Post it as an item on the list.
2. Include a full description of the edition that you have and its condition. Be very clear on conditions, marks and box
3. Specify if you will be limited in shipping options. If you ship internationally, if the shipping is on you, and if so how much.
4. Specify when your item will close for entries.
5. You can post Board Games, Video Games, RPGs, and related items. You cannot make a lottery for Geekgold or something completely unrelated the main entry, although these types of item can be added as bonus or as second winners. You can put gift cards as long as it is for an store related with the domains (i.e. no gift card to a convenience or department store allowed, but one for steam, funagain, drivethru rpg, etc can be raffled).
6. Always link to the correct item on the database. So if you are auctioning the Video Game version of Puerto Rico link to Puerto Rico and not to Puerto Rico.
7. To guarantee that the item will appear on the subscription page, allow for at least 1 week between listing and drawing.
8. Miscellaneous game entries, like FIMO miniatures, pimp items, etc should be added using Miscellaneous Game Accessory, Miscellaneous Miniatures Game Accessory or Miscellaneous Card Game Accessory as appropriate.
9. The item must be draw between May15th, 2012 and May 31st, 2012

Specific rules for types of item
1. For board games, contact me before adding homemade versions of non-Print and Play games.
2. For RPGs remember that the spirit of these lotteries is one of fairness. So, make sure that if you offer a PDF version of a given book, that you have the right to resell it, put on the item that it is indeed a PDF. Personal scans, illegal digital copies and xerox of books are not permitted.
3. For video games, no pirated or bootleg version is allowed. Remember that some online versions have pretty strict rules on what you can do with your copy. So when offering a game, make sure that you indeed can transfer the full ownership of it to the user. In case a new potential user would have some restriction with the new game, like not been allowed to access official online serves, add this information to the post.
4. If you are in some way connected with the item in question, either as a publisher or as a designer, contact me before posting any such item. And send me the wording you intend for the entry.
st
What to do when the lottery ends?
1. When closed, use the Copycat Awesome Tool to select an winner.
2. Contact that person and arrange shipment of the game.
3. Send them the game.
4. Edit your geeklist item on this list with a note saying that "THIS ITEM IS CLOSED!" and to put the avatar of the winner, use the code [ username=name_of_winner] (without the space) for that.
5. When an item is closed don't delete them.

How to use the Copycat Awesome tool?
1. Go to Copycat Awesome Tool;
2. Use your BGG login and password to log into the tool. The password is not kept by it, but it is sent directly to BGG for authentication.
3. On the Home Page of the tool there is a list with all of your listed items, just click on the correct one;
3.1 Optionally go to Items->Check Item and type the unique id for your item. To get the number right click the Postdate on the geekitem and check the #itemid part, that is the id;
4. Once you are on the item page, click the Roll Item button. The button will appear on the beginning of the date you want the drawing, as seen by the server (the server is located at the GMT-4 timezone)
5. The next page will have the name(s) of the winner(s) and a block of text you can copy to post on the tool if you want.

What should I do if the tool is incorrect?
Part of the tool is updated manually by me. The drawing date, number of winners, bonus and rules, are added by me on the tool based on what is written on the item. I usually do an update a week, so after I do that your item should correctly appear on the tool.
Before you draw check if the item is correct. Check the number of winners that are activated, the amount of geekgold tipped, and if the rules are correct. In case there is any problems, contact me before rolling the item. I will fix the issue and contact you back so you can roll the item.

I want to use a different bonus structure, can I?
The answer is maybe. The tool is vary powerful and customizable but some things it can't do. By default, anything dealing with other items can't be done easily, nor can anything that is not a mathematical change on the geekgold. It is possible though to add special rules to items, so contact me before listing the item so I can tell you if it is possible. In the case the tool can't do it and I can't add,you can't use.

I think there is something wrong on an item, what should I do?
If you suspect that something is wrong with any item on the lottery, please contact me by GeekMail explaining which behavior you saw that got you suspicious. If you won an item and the lister is logging but not contacting you, or has disappeared from BGG contact me as soon as possible. If the item should have arrived already but hasn't and the lister is not being cooperative or answering your inquires, also contact me so we can solve this in a timely manner.

Can I tip back people who tipped me?
Yes, you can use the GeekGold any user tipped you to tip on one of his items for lottery, but with discretion. You are not allowed to enter in collusion with an user to circle tip each other to get your chances very high. Doing so will remove both from the lotteries and take the geekgold incurred during it. Simple getting a tip and tipping back is not a problem. If you realize that there is an item one user has that you really want, and he really wants one of yours. Propose a trade (users are encouraged to add, before listing, items they want to lottery off on their Trade list), and if it goes through you reimburse the geekgold of every other participant.

Additional rules and guidelines
1. Don't update more than once a day;
2. Editing for the sake of trying to attract people is bad behavior. Doing it everyday (countdown to draw) is even worst. When an entry is updated I go check it to see if I have to change anything on the tool entry for it, and when there are half the items with updates, that can be a bit difficult;
3.Posting on the Game's Forums or on the General Gaming forums and GeekMailing users about the offers your put on the lotteries is considered spam and should not be done. We have a very high profile subscription thread on the GeekBay forums, which should take care of adding visibility. Rare will be the user that wants to take part but doesn't know already about it.
4. You cannot reserve a spot on the geeklist by adding a TBA announced post while waiting to post latter, just to have an earlier place.

Special notes
Special Note #1: If you are giving an item, there is no guarantee for number of entrants. You must be prepared to give away your game even if you only receive a single geekgold entry. Do not enter a game unless you are prepared for that outcome!!

Special Note #2: If for any reason you are forced to withdraw a game you offered, you must refund all geekgold tipped to your entry.

Special Note #3: This is more a personal request, please try to avoid over complicated bonus schemes and shipping thresholds. Although I understand and find it funny when an user goes with 10 different levels of free shipping with some countries here and there, I have to update this info manually on the tool for it to show on the update, and that delays the subscription update (a simple listing takes 10 sec, a more complicated can take up to 2 minutes)

Congratulations, Rob, you will hear from me shortly.

Up for grabs is the

Hawaii expansion from the recent issue of the Spielbox.

I haven't used it, so it is in perfect condition, although most of the pieces have fallen out of the cardboard thingy that is supposed to hold them together (is that called a sprue?).

I am intending to draw this on the 28th of May. Shipping is on me, worldwide.

Bonus structure:
1 gets you 1 entry
5 get you 6 entries
25 get you 35 entries
100 get you 150 entries.

This is pretty brand new, so maybe not everyone who is interested has had a chance to get their hands on it. I don't like Hawaii much, so I don't need to keep it. The rules are printed within the magazine, which I intend to keep, but if they haven't been published here or translated into English by the time I draw this, I volunteer to take care of the latter for the winner if necessary.

Twelfth round of the "HilkMAN needs to get rid of a bunch of games"-lottery

Here are the remains of my previous months' lotteries. All games are the editions pictured, unless stated otherwise - if you are not sure, please ask. It's quite possible that I add some more games to this entry later, depending on my time, so stay tuned, even if you don't see anything you like just yet.

Choose seven (nine) points worth of games from the list below. A winner with a German shipping address can choose an extra two points worth of games to reflect the lower shipping costs for me. I am very open to negotiation. If the total reached doesn't get you the games you want, you can fill up to the level you need. Or you throw in some money for the shipping cost. Ask if you're not sure whether this is for you. I mainly just want to get rid of these games without going broke.

If this lottery reaches 500 , choose five points worth of games ACHIEVED!
If this lottery reaches 600 , choose six points worth of games SURPASSED!
If this lottery reaches 700 , choose seven points worth of games REACHED!

If this lottery reaches 800 , choose eight points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 900 , choose nine points worth of games
If this lottery reaches 1000 , choose ten points worth of games
I will continue the progression in some way or the other if it really goes beyond that.

Shipping is on me, worldwide
. I am planning do the drawing on (or shortly after) the 28th of May.
1 gets you 1 entry.
5 get you 6 entries
25 get you 35 entries
100 get you 150 entries
There is no limit on bids.

Here's the game list:

One point games

Grand Cru: Heuriger und gemischter Satz Essen 2010 giveaway, new.
KNOTZ! Essen 2010 giveaway, new (there are some marks that look like "shelf wear" or something, but they are print irregularities)
Titanic: Der Mythos A little shelf wear, cards still in excellent condition.
Wizard Extreme: Revolution promo card Essen 2010 giveaway, new. In German.

Two point games

Space Beans Played a few times, has a little shelf wear. Cards are in excellent condition.
Ziegen Kriegen Played several times. Some shelf wear, mostly at the bottom of the box, otherwise in very good condition.
Schwarz Rot Gelb Box shows minimal shelf wear, cards are still in shrink.
Wizard Junior Out of shrink, but like new (unpunched, actually)
Zatre: Das Kartenspiel Lightly used (a few sheets of the scoring pad have been used), very good condition
Quirrly Played once. Like new condition.

Die Erbtante The stupid tuckbox is somewhat battered - cards are still in excellent condition.
Man Bites Dog Very good condition.
Uuups Played once, excellent condition
Iain Banks: The Player of Games. Well read. Looks very used, so this is for reading, not for looking great. Photos on request.
Dream Team The tuckbox it came in hasn't aged too well. The components are like new.

Montanara Played a bunch of times, but still in very good condition.
Nmbrs! Played once. Minimal shelf wear, components like new.
LigrettoThe box is so messed up I won't even send it. Cards are in shrink. Not the edition pictured! The box is blue and from Schmidt Spiele; rules are in German, English, French and Italian.
Dots Gamewright Quarx edition (thick box). Played once, minimal shelf-wear, components like new.
The Warrior-Lords of Darok Let's call this one intact, but it really shows its age. Looks like it's been moved around a lot since 1982. There are also two price stickers on it.
Wizards' RealmThis one is worse off than the Darok thing - really, really used. But I seem to be the only registered owner of this, so this is your chance.

Three point games

Loot Box is slightly battered, cards are in very good condition.
Gold Digger Components still look excellent, but the box has some damage at the top and shows some shelf wear.
Tricks Some shelf wear, some smaller stains on the outside. Components still look very good.
GUBS: A Game of Wit and Luck Like new condition
Count Me In! Tin box, like new condition
Friday the 13th The box is a bit scratched on the top, but the game is unplayed and the the components still sealed.

Twins Box has shelf-wear, cards are still good (although we played this quite a bit).
Meschugge Some shelf wear at the bottom, components are like new.
Neuron Very good condition.
Halli Galli Wendy edition. In shrink.
Typo Not exactly the edition in the picture, but looks similar (English version). Decent condition, but played repeatedly and some shelf wear.

Four point games

Top oder Flop Minimal shelf wear, components in excellent condition (played once)
Caesar & Cleopatra Box is in just acceptable condition. Rules have been folded twice (is nothing sacred anymore?). Cards are still alright. The coloring of the box cover is a little different from the picture, but it seems to be that edition.
Rat Hot Box shows some shelf wear. Components are in very good condition.
The Bucket King Box shows some shelf wear, components still look great.
Fiji Minor shelf wear - very good condition (the image for this edition looks very yellow - the game itself doesn't).
Zombie Fluxx Played once or twice; like new condition.

Souvlaki Wars Played once, like new.
Street Illegal Z-Man English edition, the cover is minimally different from that in the image. Box has quite some shelf wear, but components are in very good condition.
Enkounter Good condition. Meaning that the box has a few little dents, but the game pieces, instructions etc. still look excellent.)
Sabotage In just acceptable condition. This is an old library copy; it has some labels sticking on the pack and the rules are just a photocopy. The actual game components are in decent condition.
Corda. Very much shelf wear, some surface tear on the back of the box. The components are in good condition.

WHAT'S NEW THIS MONTH? Souvlaki Wars, Top oder Flop, Tricks, Twins, Goldrausch, Ziegen Kriegen, Loot, GUBS, Caesar & Cleopatra, Space Beans and 1, 2, 3... ganz viele! I might add others later.

Edit 1: Added Gubs, Loot, Casar & Cleopatra, Space Beans and 1, 2, 3 ... ganz viele!

Edit 2: Added Twins, Tricks, Goldrausch and Top oder Flop. That should be enough to get us over the first threshold, shouldn't it?

Edit 3: First threshold reached. Come on, everyone - drop all your gold on this! There won't be a lottery next month, so how else would I get rid of my games?

Edit 4: Second and third thresholds reached. Drawing tonight (German time!) Get your last minute bids in!

This is for a tiny little teenie-weenie gaming surprise package. I can promise that it will contain dice and a small game. It will also contain some other strange gaming stuff. Maybe it will contain an expansion or a print-n-play game? My lips are sealed.

My only promise is I will have fun putting it together. I hope you will have fun opening it. I will consult your profile to try to match the items to your interests.

There will be no bonus entries because I am encouraging people to just drop a couple of on this - let's keep this all very tiny and fun. No big investments and no big promises. Just a little surprise. cool

Free shipping worldwide. It will come in a padded envelope.

Closes in the afternoon on May 31, 2012.

Edit: HEADS UP! I will pick the winner on time but I can not mail the package until June 10 or later. My apologies for any inconvenience.

Here is an example:

My package arrived a few days ago (sorry about the delay getting this up btw whistle ) so I raced up to my room and placed it on the bed, giggling like a schoolgirl.

Checking over my shoulder to make sure nobody was around (it's mine! all mine!) I ripped it open.

Unfortunately, whilst I was trying to be quiet, I aroused the interest of one of the darker denizens of my abode.

Knowing that time was now short (and fearing for my life) I quickly pulled item after item out of the package and took a few photos.

A groovy little ball and cup game.

A sci-fi movie I actually haven't seen! (gasp! horror!)

A pack of heart stickers my daughter will love and a number puzzle (N.B. - this will be the last time it shall be seen in its pristine state. I am notoriously bad at getting these things back to the start.

3 packs of 'Army men'. These will be great to put into a steampunk adventure. Plus some wheat tokens.

A new game!
"Oh, something new for the kids to beat you at."
My (much) better half had snuck up behind me. I was hoping to hide my spoils from her, as she has a nasty habit of stealing my dice for her collection. shake Which leads me to...

A really nice dice bag (pirates!) filled with -

A spinner. Poker dice. A love heart stamp. Player pawns. 3 Cancer Sucks bracelets. A clicker and a full set of polyhedral dice.

After Puss had tested them for accuracy, they were scooped up (bag and all!) and whisked away. This is the last time I would see them

All in all, a great haul! Thanks for sending this Cate!

Even the Ginger Ninja approves.

This is for an unused artscow prototype copy of my forthcoming Gloom of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game.

Note that this is a ‘prototype only’, the cards for the official release will look substantially different - i.e. all the artwork - so this is pretty much a one time opportunity. You will receive SEVEN decks (count em!) of nice quality artscow cards with gorgeous art but you will not receive any six sided dice or miniatures with the game. The game’s tokens will be included but printed onto standard A4 card, PnP stylee. You can download the rules from the BGG Fantasy Quest files page here:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/69277/fantasy-quest-ru...

And if you already have some six-sided dice and minis you will have everything you need to play the game.

Hmm, let's say: "free-shipping worldwide" if it reaches more than 1GG.

This is the 1977 Battleline version. The game is naval air to air combat in the Pacific from 1942-45. There are also rules for attacking ground targets or ships with bombs, torpedoes, or kamikazes. Unlike the Avalon Hill version, this is a complete game.

The game is punched, and complete, and although it isn't as colorful as the AH edition, at least you can fit everything on the dinner table. So if you're ready to zero out some Zeros, or try to daunt some Dauntlesseseses, now's your chance, for just a little GG.
