In the spirit of the Definitive DungeonCrawl Geeklist, this is an attempt at creating a comprehensive listing of horror themed games, including expansions. I need your help to make it happen!

Obviously people could just click on the category "horror" to get something similar, so let's get some good commentary and insight into what makes these games good or bad.

The second expansion to the Haunting House. This adds a bunch of new tiles and some sculpted ghosts. Again, anyone played this? Can someone upload an image of the ghosts?

I had forgotten I owned this as a wee tadpole until I stumbled upon the entry here on BGG. A glow-in-the-dark game where kids paw through tombs looking for keys but just getting freaked by the "worms" and "bat feathers" contained therein.

Scary as a youngster. Now the only thing scary about this game is the price it fetches on eBay.

This was Twilight Creations' first experiment at incorporating some "Euro" mechanics into their games. The setting is the 9 circles (or in this case, squares) of hell. Players are attempting to harvest souls using a mechanism somewhat similar to Settlers. The game was anticipated at first, but seemed to fall short of expectations when it was discovered that it tends to be fairly long. Also, the end-game conflict comes down to a die roll which many people found distasteful in a game of this length.

Another "scary" game from the mists of time. Roll and move, with a little dexterity thrown in for good measure. The steel ball goes down the chimney to possibly wipe out people or mice below.

A children's bluffing game in which you roll-and-move pawns around a house trying to collect money. The house is riddled with traps which other players can spring on your pawns to prevent them from taking the money. The gimmick for the kids is that the board has 3-D working traps somewhat like Mousetrap.

A cassette-driven game featuring a Talking Tombstone. Players move from room to room and use both the room keys and their own character key to try to advance. A tombstone-shaped speaker attaches to a standard cassette player. The speaker will only allow sounds through if the right combination of room and character key are put into it. If sounds come from the speaker the corresponding room is haunted and so blocked to that player.

Curse of the Mummy's Tomb is a natural for this list. The board is sweeter than mana leaves in honey, and the metal pieces are classic GW! Too bad the game rules are so vague and as dry as the great desert - only the most dedicated players will venture into... the Curse of the Mummy's Tomb game....

Slasher the Final Cut is a pretty cool game. If you have ever watched a Friday the 13th flick, and enjoyed it for even a minute or two, then this game will float your boat.

The rules are a bit lacking in places, and some cards tricky to understand, but if everyone is ready to roleplay this is a blast! I had a neighboor think I was killing someone while playing this game.

Amazing that nobody thinks of this game when producing a list about horror-games while together with "Fury of Dracula" it's the only game I know that realy generates some scary moments. This game perfictly captures the nail-biting dillema's that the marines in the movie had to handle: should we go after vasquez further down the tunnel and try to rescue her from the horde of critters surrounding her or should we keep following Newt towards the exit? It even has a rule for acid-splash on human flesh and Leading Edge produced some nice sets of minis to make this game that extra bit more attractive visualy.
An the best element: the rules are easy to learn and streamlined wich renders it the perfect convention-game.
I even made my own versions of the maps (see image) because the originals were far from beautiful.
And yes, it's every bit worth it's high price on ebay.

Zombie Plague is a grid-and-counter game where players take on the role of either Humans (1 human each) or Zombies (4 zombies each, or as a 2-player, human side and zombie side. You have to search through each of 5 searchable locations on the grid, then barracade yourself inside the house and kill every zombie to win. Or find the car keys and say "screw you" to your buddies. Zombies have to kill and/or zombify all the humans to win.

A fun light "simulation" game, with rules the author says to be flexible with. A line from the rulebook:

"Layout the 6 board pieces (preferably so they line up but hey, it's your game too.)"

I really love this game, but best of all, it's a free print-and-play title! YOu have no excuse not to print it out and try it.
