This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

Random bag of games. Included Rat A Tat Cat missing two cards but it had a cute looking card game called Train After Train hidden inside. Not in the database, so I'm going to try and get it added later. Also had a cheap Go Fish game, but it was all $0.69 at Valley Thrift in Dayton, OH. Figured I wasn't out that much.
After counting out all the players in a copy of Battleball (and not buying it anyways) I barely spotted Vegas Showdown on its side with the least recognizable edge facing me. Finds like this keep me thrifting. 1.99$ and all the chits are still sealed. Yay!
had hit the jackpot with Magic cards here twice last year. Well, i didn't find what he did, but I did find a "Planeswalker Red" deck of Magic cards. Even if they aren't worth much, I figure I can give them to my QA guy at work who plays a lot of Magic.
In really good shape although the inside was the usual mess of money and chance cards. There is something extremely relaxing about inventorying and organizing games for me so I spent a nice 30 minutes sorting this whole thing. Missing 7 houses (black in this variant). GW $2.99.
Not quite sure what I got here, as I am not familiar with miniature gaming. But I paid $9 to get:
61 plastic LoTR minis 15 metal LoTR minis with names on the bottom 6 cavalry/horse minis with stands (not shown in pics) Assorted other painted plastic minis with no stands 2 ladders The LoTR strategy battle game: The Return of the King manual.
Are these worth anything? I started to search on eBay, but I wasn't quite sure what I had. I'd be grateful for any advice on this.
