This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.
The Thrift Store/Bargain Finds List Wayback Machine: The Grand Vizier is maintaining a list of all the weekly lists through time. He is also adding stats and interesting tidbits for us thrifty geeks. Your Thrift Store Bargain Finds Through Time (with links to all previous lists)
Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

And the best of the bunch....$1 at Unique Thrift again. Is it just me or did they include 12 pieces of each color when you only need 11? On the plus side there was one missing green so that extra in each color meant we were still full up.
Awesome game, have already played 8 times since Sunday
Edit: This is the 1980's Parker edition...for some reason people seem to value this more highly it looks like based on marketplace...anyone know why?
Had a productive weekend at the thrift store this week. Picked this up from the Elizabethtown Hospice Shoppe for $2. Appears to be complete and in good condition except for a few splits in the vinyl cover at the corners. This is the original vertical version - not the later horizontal one.
Second pickup from the same store - same price of $2. Game is complete and everything was still in the original "Do not open" wrappers. Played one of these a while back and looking forward to getting a group of friends together to get this one going.
Complete and in excellent condition for $2 at Value Village. The cards are minus shrink but look completely unused.
It's funny, I almost missed it. Just as I was just about done visually scanning the game and puzzle section I saw it on the bottom shelf sandwiched between a bunch of kids stuff. I don't know about you all, but I get a feeling like a little jolt of electricity when I find something cool and unexpected. I don't know if my heart can take it.
Didn't do an instore inventory as I was pressed for time. Box has some dings and dents but I'm hopeful. Vertical blokus-esque game? Sure why not...I know my gf will most likely enjoy it so I bit. Hated that I couldn't compare some ratings.
Left behind another abstract, Exago, not too sure if it was the right thing to do either -- but I figured I'll press my luck on one abstract instead of 2.
...along with Cranium Party Playoff for $1.50 each. I don't really care for party games, but I know my girlfriend will enjoy the present. Both boxes appear practically new, and everything appears complete.
