This is the traditional weekly thrift and bargain finds list.
These lists may start empty, but as always, add your items.
Put in what you consider a bargain, tell us how much you paid and the place you got it from. Bargains can be thrift store finds or any second-hand purchases or discounted boardgames bought new. Don't forget to add your encounters with the Thrift Store Irritant Squad and any other embellishments in order to make it even more interesting.

Our GeekGuild: Welcome to The Ancient and Loyal Order of Thrifters. Enter the halls of thriftdom at your own risk. Please do mind the stacks of prized games, do not mention the musty smell and try not to sneeze. Make sure to bow before our King Hakfoo I, and pay your due respects to previous Kings Belial, Great_Mazinga, minionhunter, Krazygit, EvilTimmy and Blackwind.

My January thrifts seem to turn up a lot of card games, which is fine by me. Today I found this for $.63 at the Salvation Army Store. The cards were in shrink. I liked some of the other Hasbro card translations, so I hope this will be worth the can of Pepsi I have to give up to try it.
Flat box as opposed to bookshelf edition. Passed on this a couple of times early in my thrifting days and hadn't seen it again for a looooong time. It was really bugging me since I had gone deep down the 3M rabbit hole just after I'd seen it last. Anyway, glad I crossed paths with it again. Off to the the collection. Complete.
Finally this behemoth. It occupied a large portion of the bottom shelf at Value Thrift. Unfortunately I think they were charging by the pound because this one came in at an unthrifty $8.98. The blow was softened a little by 25% off bringing the final cost down to $7.25. The bonus...it's unplayed.
The reason for my exaltation is that I have been cooped up with a cold for the past week. The last time I got to do any thrifting was on New Year's Eve when I stopped at both the Ellensburg, WA Goodwill and a Goodwill in Auburn on the way home from visiting family. I didn't find ANYTHING at either of those stores so it feels like an age since I've found anything.
So today was a good day. I finally made it out to my local GW and after a momentary doubletake when I arrived at the place where the games should have been and were notable NOT it turned into a pretty good experience. The games/puzzles had been moved back one aisle from the toys and were sharing company with sporting goods of all things.
There didn't appear to be much on the shelves at first. As I was glancing over the top shelf I saw a colorful copy of Mastermind. Too colorful. I looked again and saw animal themed version for kids. I peered inside the "untaped!!" box and saw a lot of colorful and awesome animal bits. A quick check revealed no price sticker. Good enough for me. I am still feeling a little rough and I decided to not even bother with an inventory at the store.
