The end of the year is near, and although everyone is probably still staring at that big wrapped box under the Christmas tree, 2007 will be upon us soon.
What is your most highly anticipated game for 2007? Will it the be the latest FFG box full of miniatures?
Finally an English translation of some cool Essen game?
The latest expansion of your favorite sink-in-your-money game?

I can't wait for the next expansion for this game. It can get only better... or more insane. Both are good when dealing with Cthulu!

One of my favorite games, and by far my favorite Euro (or only, not sure which), and the expansion supposed to be released this year will hopefully freshen up the game a bit.

I can´t believe this game is not yet in the list. I'm not a hardcore Heroscape fan, but I AM a marvel fan, and I like HeroCLix, and Heroscape and I can't wait to see what has Hasbro done with the Marvel License...

Age of Steam was already revamped and streamlined as Railroad Tycoon. But now there will be another reprint with cuter graphics and changed rules. Just curious how this will look like and if they achieve to make AoS or RRT any better.

Any new Game from Days of Wonder is worth to be looked at a little closer. I hope this one turns out to be a little better (deeper/heavier) than Cleopatra (which wasn't bad but no winner either).

All though there are other games in this list I am interested in, since I like the PC game I am looking forward for this one. I wonder how will it be compared to Anno 1503 which for the PC game is an earlier version.

This is the game that I have highest expectations for. Just hope that more than 2 of the games are really good, with the rest being good. And the idea that they (and others) will use the bits for more games just adds more value.
Bruno Faidutti wrote: We've taken care to put in the Stonehenge box generic and versatile components that other authors, be they named ones or just wannabees, could use later to design lots of different other games. Other rules will certainly be published soon afyter Stonehenge is published, on the game publisher's website, but in the meantime here comes a short description of the five first games, the fives ones with rules in the box.
From Bruno Faidutti's website, here are brief descriptions of the 5 games so far, http://www.faidutti.com/index.php?Module=mesjeux&id=487&fich....
Bruno Faidutti wrote: The High Druid Twice a year, for the solstice, the druids gather at Stonehenge and vote to design the best one among them, the one that will be called High Druid until the next solstice. Every druidic school has its own candidate, and the electoral system is a bit convoluted - but at its heart, the High Druid is a majority game.
Magic of Stonehenge Richard has imagined a zany and convoluted story about druids making use of their long beards to channel the earth energy and throw big stone blocks at one another in a kind of violent magical tournament. It obviously doesn't make any sense, but Richard has two good excuses. First, he has no beard. Second, he has designed a really clever and original card game with a fun mix of tactics, luck nd psychology.
Auction blocks There had to be an auction game in the mix, and it has been designed by James. The idea is that the local town council sells these bulky stone blocks to make place on the fields. Sure, they can be put to some glorious use in the building of cathedrals, stables, watering places.
Chariots of Stonehenge We all know that Stonehenge was built by some alien race, but only Mike, who has access to some secret knowledge, knows what for. the stone circle was in fact an arena for flying alien chariots races.
Arthurian Ghost Knights It seems the other Richard wants to put war and battles in all his games, but here it's note really relevant. This is more like a very original tactical card game.
Supposedly there was a copy at the Gathering, unfortunately not one person has mentioned it that I've seen in any of the write ups. If you played, how is it? Please?
Publisher website still shows this as May, so here's to playing some druids in May.
