This list is for games with robots, including large robots piloted by humans. Bonus points if the games involve combat. No need to list every expansion, just the base game.

Although I am not a 12-16 year old, I love mecha, robots, and giant robots, especially when they are attacking each other. Hopefully we can all discover some great games involving robots. And combat.

Alien Squad Leader has a set of miniatures called "Hordes of the Future" which is presumably a nod to its inspiration. One of the armies is Mechanoid, which sounds like giant robots to me. The game is supposed to be quite good, and the rules are only 44 pages long.

Speaking about giant robots, no country in the world beside Japan has such a fanatic following on robots. Anime is one of the main export of Japan, and no Anime is as famous as Gundam.

This is a tactical/strategic wargame of the last battle in the Anime show Gundam.

The rules are being translated into English is posted. I also have a physical copy of the game.

Sadly, these robots always come off as tiny and cute, incapable of crushing skyscrapers or slicing through school buses like sticks of butter. It is a game about combative robots, though, and deserves a place in this special shrine.

Legions of Steel is a miniatures game set in the future, man vs. machine (robot). It's very similar to Space Hulk in that the playing surface is built by tiles showing corridors and rooms. I like some of the rules better than Space Hulk, plus the fact that I could find a copy of LoS for $20 when I would have to pay many times that for a copy of Space Hulk meant I bought LoS. The only problem I have with it is I have to paint the several pounds of lead that came in the game box!

And this is a tactical Wargame base on the series.

Also, I do have it in my collection

I loved this game when I seemed to have unlimited time to game on the weekends. Nowadays it seems a little slow, especially when 4+players are involved. Heroscape terrain has re-invigorated my interest in this old favorite (though now, no more than 4 mechs per side)!

battletech is a good mech game for a certain type of mech combat- big titans duking it out and trading a lot of damage before one suffers catastrophic damage and goes down-

if fast-paced anime-style robots is what you crave- stay away; but for those who like static gun line battles with massive ordnance, this is for you.

Another one of the games about Gundam.

This one is a tactical wargame, as there are scenarios which based on the episodes in the Gundam Anime series.

Rules are also being translated and post in BGG and also the counter scan, interested players can download and make their own copy and play.

Game represent all the space combat.

I also have a physical copy.

Titans are massive fighting machines as tall as skyscrapers. Each carries an arsenal of deadly weapons powered by the fury of its plasma reactor and is protected by energy shields and metres-thick armour. The ground trembles before these steel giants and whole cities are reduced to burning rubble by the earth shattering energies of their weapons.

Sitzl meant to add this game earlier but there was a typo. I'm amazed at all the mecha games lurking out there.
