Ultimate Solitaire or Solo Game Battle!

Continuing my 'Battle' series of geeklists (see the full list below) on another topic of interest to me: Solo Games. This list tries to capture all the best games on the geek that are either solitaire or have a good solo variant.
I've trawled a load solo/solitaire geeklists to get the base list of 86 - I required a game to be mentioned on at least 3 lists to add it. Feel free to add your own suggestions. The initial order will be based on the number of times the games appeared on the geeklists I used. This will also be used as a tide-breaker, as will ranking if required.
The Battle Some of these games receive increased ratings due to nostalgia while others that are not just for one player will not be rated purely on the basis of solitaire play. This list attempts to determine the best games to play solitaire!
1. Vote using the green icon for the games you think play well solitaire. Feel free to add comments saying why you like them. ThumbsUp in comments will not be counted. 2. If you strongly dislike a game solitaire then you can add a comment with a or a THUMBSDOWN. Feel free to thumb down if you think the game is not suitable for this list - i.e. not playable solitaire!
I'll regularly review the list and re-sort it based on the Net number of each game has.
The comment for each game is one from a user who rates it highly - not my comments!

viogression: "Excellent cooperative game, and plays very nicely as a solitaire game. Hard, but lotsa fun. The expansion (free!) is required, as it adds racial abilities not present in the base game. Great theme. High-quality components, beautiful board, lots of cards, and an extremely heavy-duty box."

Lawrence Hung: "Cool concept -- playing solitaire on the eastern front...never imagine it before just like we could've never imagined we could play simulaton soccer on a PC 20 years ago, action or statistical. The game was designed in 1986, long before solitaire ASL, Peloponessian War, Patton's Best etc. Given this, we should have given this game a due respect, despite the system may not hold as to the conduct of war consistent with the history."

This one is really tough for the Allies if they keep the historical drop zones (even if allowing for the one that lands on the enemy to move a hex over). The German decisions are usually fairly straightforward in this case, so it makes for a good, tense solitaire experience. I'm not generally one for hex & counter wargames, but I've really enjoyed this one.

Many sports simulations (particularly baseball) lend themselves quite well to solitaire play. I don't really enjoy it that way, but I'd say most fans prefer it solo (or can't find other players).

nerotora: "It plays equally well as 2,3,4 player and solo game. It's very rich in theme. It has a very a good game mechanism which introduced many innovative ideas. But most important of all it's fun if you can immerse into the story that this game is presenting."

Labrat: "A staple in our house. Bit of mayhem and madness for about an hour (for us a 5-6 player game runs approx 45 min). The Solo games available are a great way to spend some time too. A light hearted hack-n-slash dicefest. Somenights it is exactly what the doctor ordered."

May I suggest this game? Here's a quote from the review written by a true genius / great gamer / superb writer / modest, humble human being... Awwww, OK...I wrote it. But this is still a great game to play solo right out of a single starter deck!
Quote: Best bit:This game can be played solitaire. That’s the best part for me. Actual, genuine solitaire rules. No adapting existing rules into some hybrid that almost-but-not-quite plays solitaire.
Card Balance: Fairly Good. Commons aren’t necessarily coasters. The foil cards are balance-busting strong. I think they were banned from tournament play.
Deck Construction: Super – 6 out of 6! Starters are fully playable right out of the box. You get a version of Lara, 18 locations and some good (but not great) traps, monsters, equipment and a power up. Once you’re ready for more of a challenge, get the boosters.
Complaint: Ahh, none that I can think of.

In this free game, inspired by another game on this list (Zombie in my Pocket), you play an Allied paratrooper who must enter an enemy bunker to sabotage its guns.

Late entry.
Entertaining little dice strategy game. Gives a suprising amount of flavour of a dungeon bash considering it is just 6 dice.

I'd like to add my Doctor Who game into the mix!
It's got very favourable reviews, a good rating and now a decent rank too.
Please check it out and let me know what you think!

NeilGordon: "A gem of a tile game, should be up their with Hive in our opinion (hey it's from New Zealand, I would support it strongly regardless). The puzzles are reason to buy this on it's own. Completing the puzzles 1 to 30 is a weekend in it's self. Two weeks later you can do them all again like new. Fabulous way to fill in time at airports etc."

Imhotep: "This is an excellent tile placement/strategic meeple placement game. The way in which the simulated fire spreads is very realistic (the hottest spots spread). Since all players know where the fire can spread (where tiles can be placed) it alleviates some of the issues I have with Carcassonne. Accommodates 1-4 players and comes with a few good variations that increase the replay value. The rules are simple and easy to teach. Comes with nice bits too. *Also see the 'Vulkan' game entry, it is a free game played with the Feurio pieces. Vulcan starts at the end of a game of Feurio or can be played solo."

Street Illegal/Fette Autos plays from 1 to 7 with no rules changes. Of course it's much more fun when competing against other players, but the dummy racers can put up a bit of a fight as well.
It's not the best solitaire game around, but works like a charm when I need a quick hand management/risk assessment fix and there's nobody to play with.
