The positive comments and interesting scale yell out "Buy Me!" This is one I would dearly like to see come back either as a reprint or 2nd edition.

This one seemed to go from preorder to print to OOP so quick I didn't even notice it! By the time I decided to buy it it became rarer than cricket players in Murmansk. (You can find them, but it may require a little digging)

MMP have produced some good stuff recently but have been sitting on this for an age.

A slight reworking and some upgraded components would be nice - followed up by making the material covered in the, even harder to get, expansions available. Oh, and new box cover art as well, although my expectations on that are somewhat depressed given the below par effort on 'Monty's Gamble'.

Still - it's the game that's important.

I don't know as this would be my first choice--probably Up Front, although I have the complete game and expansions--but HW is a game that I think could be amazing if updated a bit. The core engine is outstanding, but I would like to see a few changes. The guy who designed the computer version is working on something like this, but I have no idea if it'll be finished any time soon.

This is a sort of representative image for all the Microgames - Task Force, Metagaming, TSR, whomever. I would love to see more weird & wonderful games produced, cheaply enough to take a chance on. These were (mostly) great games with woefully inadequate components, and could make a few bucks if they were reproduced in modern format.

Counterstrike games are their nearest current equals, but they have tended toward more conventional (although still small & cheap) games of late.

I personally don't care if this game is ever reprinted (I found it to be just so-so) but during the time that I had listed it for trade, I received such a flood of emails of interest that I was taken by surprise!

This must be one of those holy grails of magazine games, and possibly the most sought after Command game ever. I'm a bit puzzled as to why.

For a very long time this was the best of Avalon Hill's games for me. Two nations at war across a vast continent (okay, I was a little young to get all of the inside jokes on the map); tanks, artillery, airborne, marines, infantry, bombers, fighters, TAC, minor countries, and step reduction losses rather than wholesale elimination of units. Other than navies and minor country military forces, it had just about everything, including no direct political overtones/historical agendas (okay, Great Blue and Big Red), but no Nazis, no Japs (err, Japanese), no Huns (err, Germans), etc. There were several updates by Avalon Hill over the years. When it came out, it was just the game I was looking for.

As enamored as I was of Blitzkrieg, I was completely blown-away by the enhancements to the game that SPI brought with the Blitzkrieg Module System in S&T 19. This expansion added everything that was missing from the original Avalon Hill game: changes to the Sequence of Play, Zones of Control, Combat Results, Stacking, Railroads, Order of Battles, Production, Supply, Naval Forces, Air Forces, Flak, Weather, Guerillas, Artillery, Scenarios & Victory Conditions, and Minor Country Armies. I played countless solitaire games trying to find the right set of rules modules for the perfect game. Most often, I would throw everything into the games I played.

This was what you might call the JEDKO Games (Australia) version of 'Blitzkrieg.' Though smaller in size, the premise was very similar except that uncertainty was added through the requirement to commit one of your armies to the vagaries of a 'Southern Front' and through the introduction of event cards. Naval and air units were marginalized and there was only one minor country, although it did have an actual army represented. In discussions with L2 Design Group, I understand that they have the rights to the John Edwards' games, so I am hopeful that a new version of this might someday be resurrected.

The first, and IMHO still the best CDG. Elegant, reasonably true to history, with all the pluses of the CDG genre and none of the excess chrome / card play that mars later entries.

I have a copy, but I welcome a reprint so that others can enjoy this gem. Modern artwork would be welcome, but I like the battle cards (they work here) and the separate Ops/Strategy cards.

Last I heard, the original designer Mark Herman is reworking the game to be released by GMT as "Washington's War" with few changes outside of the removal of the battle cards.

Knowing this, I still picked up a copy on eBay for a price comparable to most new releases. Best money I've spent on a wargame in the past several years. And I've enjoyed it so much I wouldn't care if a reprint ruined the "value" of my copy.

In my mind, this is *the* wargame most in need of reprinting.

This game has a lot going for it: asymmetrical forces, an excellent campaign system, asymmetrical economics, simple combat, etc. Surely somebody could do something exciting with all that?
