These are the games coming out in 2008 I'm most anxiously awaiting to become available.
Why am I "jones'n" for these games? It may be the prototype photos in the database, the manufacturers description from their website or the fact that a game is finally getting a makeover/reprint after so long out of print.
What else should I be keeping on my radar? Do you have a favorite or two that you will buy the instant it becomes available? Is there some reason you will or won't buy a game on this list?
Add the games on YOUR radar and share why you want it so bad.

A new Mayfair release. I like tile games and this looks like it will be a good one.

Played at Gencon Indy 2007. A Tom Wham game that plays a little like St. Petersburg, but with a fantasy theme, and an added Take-That! element.

The designers mentioned on some posts that they have an expansion lined up for this. I really enjoy the game but I do think it needs just that little extra, so I hope they get it out soon.
They mentioned that they may even release it for free if the distribtor doesn't want to do it. Bring it on boys...

A game with a mythological theme, however loose, will almost always catch my eye.

World at War ported to World War II, with more maps, slightly fewer rules and plenty of scenarios? I AM SO THERE!

Keeping my fingers crossed that this one will see release in 2008. Looks like it could be the one of the best Crusades wargames.

Anyone still remembers this? It was intended for publication in 2006 but was delayed several times. Anyone knows any chance that it could be printed in 2008? An update of the Europa system of Fire in the East, the German initial invasion of the Soviet Union for anyone who is thirst for encirclement of enemy units continuously.

100 Years War...yeah, how can a war last that long? Joan of Arc has been covered in a few game and should be deserved to be featured more with her frantic religious faith deeply called in a war. I don't know about others but I would definitely buy this one with the same faith.

Armies maneuver on a point to point map of Southern Germany based on the road network available at the time. The Thirty Years War campaigns in one game sitting it too good for me to learn more about this colorful period.

My wife loves Lost Cities. Any game that has similarities to Lost Cities that I can play with her is highly anticipated.

Something about this one has grabbed me...the mythological beasties, the black-and-red color scheme, the baddass miniatures and cloth board...it's going to be an awesome little game.

don't need it...but since I have every other game of Axis & Allies ever published, I'll have to buy this one. Damn you WOTC for your intentional focus on my compulsion to have everything related to A&A. Where is my credit card?

Does it count if all I really want to buy is reprints? Those shouldn't count against my moratorium since they're not new games

I just had to share Tom. playing Boardgames is like having a crack cocaine habit - some "friend" introduces you to them (the 1st one is free) and the next thing you know, your hanging out on BGG for the next fix.
I can only be held responsible for the 1st 8 or so too!

I'm not Jones'n for any game, just all of them. Why be picky?
But, seriously. There are so many fun games coming out (or getting delayed) that I'm letting them 'flow over me'. Kinda getting things as they come out and having time to think about the future.

Hm, I didn't see any vampire-theme games on the list...
Wow, the best game (rating-wise) wasn't even highly anticipated!
