Inspired by this review of Through the Ages, I wanted to ask which games you have played more than 30 times that you still enjoy.

I personally can't STOP playing! This is a weekly monster for our game group. It is a nice ..dare I say...Braaaaiinnless game full of theme. After a long session of some harder thinking games this is a fun, often hilarious romp in a 80 b grade movie.

A masterpiece. With so many possibilities and a bit of luck, every game will be different...

I want to add to the list this masterpiece. Me and my girlfriend have played "Jambo" countless times in the last months, and each game is different (and fun!).

I could add up how many games of this I have played in my life, as I have transcribed every match I've ever played. I recently played my 100th regular show, and they consist of 10 matches, and several interview segments and promos. So I have at the very least 1,000 plays of this game.
Dangit... being OCD I now have to go through my notes and do an actual count.

I have played Agricola 44 times.
I have not played it in a couple of months but I have been getting the urge to bring it to the table again ... maybe this weekend.
No game has ever been the same and every time I play it seems like somebody is playing a card that I have not seen before.

Like a bag of potato chips, when you sit down to play, you can't play just one scenario.
Even the same scenario twice in a row typically yields different results.
Looking forward to the update, Up Front 2000 20??.

I'll just list the first in the series, but along with Mediterranean, Pacific and Battle Packs, I've got 87 plays. Just never gets old. A great story every time. Almost every game a nail biter. Moves quickly. My favorite game.

36 so far. Our favorite age of sail sim. The detailed rules and running of your ship as well as the ability to scale to any number of players makes CA a really great game. (We're enjoying a a 43 player game of this via Cyberboard at the moment!)

88. With shortened victory conditions, you can play several games in an afternoon. But since this plays up to 8, its popular in our church Youth Group and any time we want a simple battle game.

230 plays and still my default two player game. I never go gaming without a couple decks and my playmats, which I use to teach.

Really weird that this game was missing in the list. It's high rank on BGG and all the games that are played on BSW should make this a 30+ plays game for many gamers.
I definitely like this game after lots of plays and so do all the players i ever played this game with.

I have over 50 plays in this World War II aerial combat solitaire game. It's your B-17F Flying Fortress vs. the Luftwaffe over occupied Europe from November 1942 to May 1943. The challenges just get better the deeper you have to fly your missions.

As opposed to a discussion on games with narrative, this Geeklist highlights (in many cases, not all) games that can be played the same way you purchase paper towels at Costco - in bulk. In fact, I would argue that many of the games on this list (well over 100 as I write this) are on this list for one of two reasons - brevity of play or longevity (began playing as a child, and have accumulated the plays over vast expanses of time). My interest level definitely peaks in a discussion of those placed in the latter category.
Good idea for a list - it leads me to think in a different way about games people love enough to play, and play, and play.

Not necessarily. While "30" is obviously arbitrary, many games tend to stop being fun after being played too many times. Case in point: I used to love Munchkin and am now quite thoroughly sick of it after a good 50-ish plays. I don't think this is a pointless topic at all!
I was the same way with Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot - but I lost interest after the 5th expansion came out.

Yes, that's definitely how it turned out. A perhaps more interesting set of criteria would have been:
1. Games you have played more than 30 times
2. In the past (2? 3?) years
3. That you are still enthusiastic about
4. Something about narrative...
Still, I like this list as it has pointed me towards some games that are well-liked that I had never heard of. And there are also spirited endorsements of games I would have ignored based solely on their rating, like "Give Me the Brain" for example.
