Erik Warnes (unixrevolution) had initiated the BGG chain of generosity which has been going strong since then. Unfortunately, global mail prices can be quite high, probably making the list a little uninteresting for non-Americans (though a few do regulary participate in the chain). With this GeekList I'll try to play my part to make a similar chain avaiblable to all Europeans (thanks, Jack (anglotiger), for the suggestion of a seperate GL!)

We currently have the following Chains running all across Europe:

Original Chain of Generosity.

Pay It Forward Chain.

Original Card Game Chain.

Second Card Game Chain.

Game parts, Miniatures and Small Expansions Chain.

Woolly Shrubbery Chain.

The JAGGY Chain.

The Delicacies Chain
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rules (shamelessy but with thanks copied from the global chain):

RULES:

1. You must comment to the item in question indicating you wish to be in the drawing to recieve it in order to be eligible to win.

2. If you win one, you MUST post a game of your own to give away in this fashion. If you don't like that idea, don't play. Please do not wait until you receive your win before offering a game of your own - its all about generosity.

3. Set a deadline of around 5 to 10 days.

3. In the unlikely event that no offers are made on your game within the deadline, try a different game in its place.

4. If you wish to start a new chain, post an item to the geeklist and put "SEED" in bold in the description. For those later in the chain, identify which chain your game belongs to.

5. Sender pays shipping, unless he indicates in his entry that the recipient will and under what grounds (International shipping, etc). Anyone signing up to receive an item where recipient pays shipping agree to do so.

AND NOW HAVE FUN SPREADING GENEROSITY AROUND EUROPE!

ORIGINAL CHAIN OF GENEROSITY

OK guys! I just won E.T.I.... Fair and square! So don't complain!!
In return I'll let you have another go on this Phalanx game. To me it felt like a bit of a mix between Domionion and Condottiere.

There's a "card market" on which players have to auction different cards with different powers, and then they can try and attack other players, stealing cards and so to become more powerful. There's also a voting system which can get quite tense and lead to mean little negotiations...

Unfortunately, my game gourp didn't quite like it, so I'm parting with it.

I'll leave this open till next Sunday! Good luck!

OK! Sorry I'm a bit late! Just wanted rise expectations whistle

OK: I'm using the boring random.org where I am going to flip a 2 Swiss Frank coin (very exciting, I know!)

Ravenhoe = Head
thirdeye333 = Tails

So now the coin flip makes SHAWINKLINKLINKLINNNNNNG...

And the official result is:

Head! Ravenhoe wins! Timestamp: 2011-02-07 03:16:40 UTC

Congrats!

Finally ClosedContinuing the Game Parts, Small Expansions and Miniatures Chain.

This is not the complete L-Deck .

These are the cards I'm giving away:

L13 Seebär
L15 Franz (signed)
L17 Dithmarscher (signed)
L18 Azubine
L20 Rumtrinker (signed)

some of them are signed by the pictured people, otherwise they are as new and were never used for play.

They all are in German. (I'm sorry for all you non-german speakers/readers, but I only have these cards)

This Item will be closed on February 11th.

Hmm, well what about a Decktet extended by it's
excuse and it's pawns? (Just to make it compatible with this chain)
It's a brandnew decktet.

and it's open untill Feb. 20th.

it's a deck printed by Artscow http://www.artscow.com/share/dkoiurgx96ga.
Hope this makes clear what you get.

Well, three is charm.

How about the Bohnaparte expansion for Bohnanza.
It's the German Edition, but there is not a lot of language used on the cards. But you should get the Rules in a Language you understand.
Played only once.

This will be open untill: March 6th.

You really are giving me a hard time.
Let's try this one

Vive le Roi German Edition. Box shows heavy wear but the Cards are still in shrink.

Open untill March 20th.

So you want the weird Stuff!?!

Here you go, a Set of Skull Pigs, get them while you can.
They are Miniatures for the Werewolf: The Apocalypse (2nd Edition) RPG.
They still are in their Blister.

Open until April 3rd.

So next try.
Here's another Mini: Valaz Ravenheart Runs until April 24th

Many thanks to Martin first of all!

Continuing the 2nd Card Game Chain, I offer a never been played, still in shrink copy of Urban Myth. Draw will take place in a week's time on Friday February 11th.

JAGGY Chain

Hi guys! Really sorry I'm so late with offering a new product to one of the craziest chains in all of Europe (is the Wooly Shruberry Chains still alive???)

Well... it seems the European Chain in general has been suffering some slight decline in quality offering lately (shame on you!). So let's inject some quality back into this thing!

Ticket to Ride: the card game, is my offer to you!

I myself am not a huge fan of this game. But if you're a fan of Ticket to Ride, then this is your travel version! The size of the standard Kosmsos 2-player game boxes make it easy to take wherever you go. The quality of the cards is excellent! Cards are large and even have an icon system to make life easier to colour blind players.

This copy has been played 2 or 3 times. It's like new!!

I leave this offer available till 17th FEB.

Good luck to all of you!
Pedro.

OK GUYS!!

Let's draw the lucky winner!

contestans are:

thirdeye333
and
matildadad

I am right now texting with this beautiful young woman who is a singer. Not sure if she's a good one... but I suppose so... well never mind. I'll ask her to type any number and send it over, if she types an odd number, game goes to thirdeye333 if even it goes to matildadad...

Just a sec:

Typed number was:9

Game goes to thirdeye333

sorry matildadad

Better luck next time...

And since I also won the crazy WOOLY SHRUBBERY CHAIN here goes!!

Yet again, 2 picks out of 4 this time. With a nice set of games fitting the honourable name of this chain.

First choice: Kabufuda
The exact same edition as you see in this pic. Complete with plastic box and amazing little cards, not only beautiful to look at as to feel! The cards are really extra-high quality, extremely thick, unlike anything you've seen before! It's the Japanese Black-Jack game. You can actually play this with regular cards, but it just hasn't got the same charm, does it? It is Japanese and has no rules, I'm not sure whether there are some rules available on the geek, but if not, I'll link you to some rules. This one is like new!

Next is BRAWL
You would get your hands on 4 decks: Hale, Chris, Mischo (Club Foglio) and Rent (Club Foglio)

All decks come with instructions and are in great condition.

Next one is Hector and Achilles, Phalanx Games, like new!

And finally! The African Star, a Finnish game. Unfortunately, the box is damaged (torn backside of the box), but everything else is perfect, complete with English instruction.

This one will be open till 6th March as well! So take your 2 picks!!

Good luck!

Thanks Jon!

It's actually the second time I'm doing this on the geek! I think it's much cooler, but also much meaner than always using random.org.

And the numbers are in:

- rorshaq mailed me a 3
- matildadad mailed me a 2

That's 5, odd! Games go to Matildadad!! Congratulations!!!

Ok time to decide.. I'm going to roll a d20 for each of you, and the closest to 15 without going over will be the winner!!

As BGG rolls don't yet work in geeklists I had to post them in a forum thread and then copy the roll IDs here...

Grimwold previously rolled d20 = (18) = 18 (Ben)
Grimwold previously rolled d20 = (17) = 17 (Nuno)
Grimwold previously rolled d20 = (1) = 1 (Chris)
Grimwold previously rolled d20 = (4) = 4 (Henrik)
Grimwold previously rolled d20 = (1) = 1 (Carsten)

Amazingly, Henrik is the winner with 4

So, the 2nd CARD GAME CHAIN is back to me.

Offering this clever dungeon crawl game conceived and lavishly illustrated by Thomas Denmark.

In this double deck set the heroes delve in the lair of a rather sinister mad scientist. Best thing about it: by moving your hero you get peril points that the other players can spend to play monsters and traps on you! Of course, you can return the favour... devil

It's got Quests, levelling up, items... almost a mini Runebound.

you can play as one of these characters:

(BTW, it's the english edition, not the polish as in this picture!)
Played a few times, but in good shape.

Item will close in a week, on Thu 17th March.

We have 4 potential Dungeoneers, I will assign to each of them one character card from the game, randomly drawing one to determine the winner.

Ed the Red gets: Throngar
bluerat gets: Nord Fimble
spellen gets: Maluvius
Nunesh gets: Grog Nordham

(shuffle - shuffle - shuffle - DRAW)

'With a groaning noise, the ancient portal creaks open, revealing dusty steps leading down into the fiendish dungeon. A shadow is outlined at the threshold. As it advances on the first step, it moves into the light cast by a torch on the wall. The flickering flame reveals the uncanny features of...

In please. I was rather disappointed it isn't the polish edition as my girlfriend is Polish and I could learn Polish by playing the game. Well I could learn how to say Critical Hit, TPK and You rolled a 1 anyway.

PAY IT FORWARD CHAIN - CLOSED

let me offer a choice of the following:

1. Junta - Schmidt Spiele.

German Edition from 1978, unplayed and counters still unpunched. All playing material in German with quite some in-game text. Game and box are in very good condition.

2. Dragon's Gold - Descartes

German edition, played once or twice. Rules come only in German, minor German text on player screens. Game and box are in very good condition.

3. Die Magier von Pangea - Queen

Rules in German only. Game was only played once and is in very good condition. Box back shows minor shelf wear.

Please make your choice until 30 March 2011. - CLOSED
-----------------------------------------------------------

OK, as I have a couple days vacation, let me draw a winner earlier than usual. We have the following three contestants:

1 - Pedrator
2 - Ravenhoe
3 - Settler_of_Agricola

Being off from work I think that the total count of work-related E-Mails I will find on my BlackBerry would be a good randomizer. I'll divide it by three and determine the winner by the remainder of the division (with 0=3).

So, lets see how much work will be waiting for me upon my return on Monday just from todays mails: ..... 23 ... *gulp* gulp..

23/3 = 7+2, giving the game to Ravenhoe! Congrats! Trade offer is coming up.

Awesome job getting a European list started. If you wish, you can use my Subscription Thread for updates to this chain, as they will be relevant to the European participants in the global chains.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see this idea spread so far.

I just won an item in the Jaggy chain, do we want to close it now? I can continue it one more time and then we close it, or make a donation also fine.

If nothing gets decided before thursdayevening I'll just list something new.

I like the big amount of chains running. Means I don´t have to wait another 2 weeks for a chance on winning something fun .
There is a bunch of games which would be better off in someone else´s game closet
