For those of you new to this list, I originally posted this list back in 2006 as a way to let my Santa know when I receive my gift without him/her worrying about divulging their identity. The list has gone well in the last two years and I am curious how large it will grow this year since there are around 1000+ participants this year (529 items in 2006, 874 items in 2007). This is a pretty good place to view the gifting as it progresses through the holiday season, so enjoy!

Use this as a central area to record what our Secret Santas sent us. When you post on this list, you may want to make a note on your profile so your Secret Santa knows to look on the list for your receipt and reaction. That way your Secret Santa can look to see if you received your gift and you can post any comments you may have about the gift here and you can reply without the identity of your Secret Santa ever having to be released!

Please only make an entry when you actually receive the present!

If your Santa sends you more than one item, just list them all in one listing unless you think it makes more sense to list them separately. Remember to include any comments you want your Secret Santa to know!

I don't know about anyone else, but I generally obsess about whether a package has arrived at it's intended destination. I drive my wife crazy with checking tracking numbers constantly! So it will be nice to see when those gifts are actually received by the giftee (or are they just sitting unclaimed on the neighbor's porch?)

To see how the previous two years of Secret Santa-ing have gone on those year's versions of this list, look at these links:

My Secret Santa had a package delivered to my door yesterday, and it contained Dungeon Twister! Excellent choice Santa, especially since it's not all that readily available where I'm at. Thanks a million! thumbsupthumbsupthumbsup

Also in the box was the following:

Which will make sure we'll be enjoying this one for a long while to come!

Whoever was my mysterious Santa (I know he's somewhere in Texas): you rule!

First off I want to plead my case to Santa, I did not open my box. Being a simple college student My secret santa sent my gift to my perminant residence. The package got there while i was still being studious in my dorm room. My mother calls me and tells me that she recieved this box with two games in it and didn't realize that it was for me until after she opened it and gazed at the glories inside. So i would like santa to know that I tried to be a good boy.

Otherwise thank you so much santa for you generous gifts of Arkham Horror: Curse of the Dark Pharaoh Expansion and Dungeon Twister. You have not only opened my eyes to a wonderful new game but also expanded one of my favorites. So far I have played many games of dungeon twister, all of which i have been victorious, and enjoyed everyone. I look forward to sending Nyarlathotep back to the crawling choas where he belongs. Thank you santa

My Santa had great timing!

My wife has been waiting for Christmas gifts to arrive and when the Fed-Ex guy showed up with a gift for me a lot of questions were asked.

After explaining my Secret Santa ROCKS! I quickly placed my wrapped gift under the tree.

I must admit I have shaken the box several times but I am waiting till Christmas to unwrap it!

I love Christmas and I love this Secret Santa on BBG!

UPDATE:

1960: The Making of the President

Waited till Christmas morning. This game rocks! Thanks Santa was SOOOOOO worth the wait!

This game was recommended to me by a friend who said I will enjoy it. This is how it got on my wishlist. I don't think I will regret it. A first glance at the components looked very good. First thing tomorrow morning is read the rules and find somebody to play with! Wish me luck!

Thanks Santa and I hope you have got a great game as well!

P.S.: I had to look into the package so I could update my wishlist for my relatives. Santa said it would be all right.

I was sitting at home, thinking what we might play this evening. Our daughter Franca was all right and sleeping. Then our neighbors rang at our door.
"There is a package for you", they said. "Strange" said Tina (my wife). "we already got a package today. It was for Franca." She gets a lot of presents this year.
So I went down to fetch the box. I was really surprised to see the Funagain printing on the box!
Fire and Axe! Great!

The Elves of my Santa are great! It took them only two days to get the game across the Atlantic!

I arrived home on Saturday to find a missed package notice from FedEx Home, so I called them to find out what it was, getting very excited when the phone operator tells me that the shipper is Th- Th- Th-Think Hammer??? My mind jumps immediately to my pending Pandemic order. Finally, I'll get to save the world Dustin Hoffman style. But no! It hasn't shipped yet. After another missed package slip, getting crushed at Puerto Rico by some non-gamers, and a mid-day work-ditching zip car rental, I finally have the package in my grubby little hands.

To make a long story short (too late), my super awesome (I mean super AWESOME) Secret Santa not only sent me a copy of Galaxy Trucker, but Memoir 44 as well!!!!!!

Received a wrapped package from FunGamesCafe on Tuesday, but I couldn't open it all by myself and waited for fellow geek faqtotum to be present. The size and weight of the box puzzled me, as I didn't look at my wishlist in a few week and couldn't figure out any match.

THANK YOU SANTA!

Turns out it was Khet, a game that combine my love of abstract games and engineering (it has two freaking lasers!). Great, great choice! I look forward to try it.

Well thank you Santa, package arrived safe and sound but happy I asked Mrs Jethro to open up and check as it was not wrapped (I KNOW IT CAME FROM IGUK AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE OFFERING FREE WRAPING TUT-TUT) o she has to keep the secret and wrap it herself from my prying eyes until the big day.

Cheers and diolch yn fawr!

OK I CONFESS.
I'd been guessing all along as it lay there under the tree gazing at me, printed some of the guides off the geek to help and I was totally wrong.
I actually got LAST NIGHT ON EARTH. Looks good and should get it's first proper outing tonight.

Now I'm not going to admit what I thought it was.

Hey Santa where were my taunts?

Cheers to all involved (especially you santa) and look forward to more come December.

So my Fiancee called me at work to ask what all the packages were that had arrived at our house. One was a present for her, and the other was from my secret Santa. I told her she could open the SS box because she wasn't going to open her gift yet.

And I got Race for the Galaxy! Thanks Santa, I've never actually played this but It seems like other geeks on here play it sometimes. I can't wait to try it and join in the fun.

I also got Hive!
A game I've played before and really enjoyed.

Thanks very much for making my first Secret Santa a great one.

Huge thank you to Santa and sorry for not posting sooner. I am extremely excited to play this game. I even have plans to use it as a relatively early step in my brother's introduction to boardgames. It's funny how much more exciting it is to open up a game package when you don't know what it is. My family is bad at giving surprise presents that are actually wanted, so it was the most excited that I've been to open a Christmas/Hanukah (yay for multiple present-giving holidays) present since I was a little kid. Great experience.

Ok, so I'm sitting at home... the Canpar fella has just staggered in with a bunch of boxes for Kim. She's doing Usbourne (it's a book thing) and her Christmas Craft/Fair shows shipment came in. The same guy I think always drops off our stuff and he's always cheery to see Kim getting so excited about more boxes of books. Now, you ask yourself... what does this have to do with Secret Santa? Absolutely freakin nothing. It's the lead-up to the big event.

So... I'm sitting... you got that part already right? And the knocker on the door goes WHACK WHACK WHACK (Karolyn loves the door knocker... little hands don't make much noise on the door but the big iron dealybob does... makes mommy come running) and I figure that it's the poor Canpar guy coming back with a second load... which is strange because usually he staggers up with these ginormous loads and that's it. But who am I to question the lure of kids books. So I open the door... and it's another guy... don't know who the heck he is but he's got a parcel and I'm like... hmmm... am I expecting any parcels right at this moment? Sure I am... so I go to take the parcel from him and he says, "Are you Sarah Connors?" (no i'm kidding... he asked if I was me... duh " and I shrugged and said "sure"... so after carefully signing in my normally illegible script I grab the parce... make sure it's for me and then say "thanks" close the door politely and run for the kitchen with all the sharp objects. Karolyn reminds me not to run in the house... well it's fair I guess... I don't let her drive the car yet. And then I'm in the kitchen looking for scissors.

And they appear... in my hands. And I cut the tape. And I open the box and there are wrapped things inside. Now when I say wrapped I mean with christmas wrapping paper... I've had some truely sadistic (but well meaning) guys wrap their trades both inside and out... just to be sure that it doesn't get trashed. Now while I appreciate this... it makes it way hard to mash yer way through the paper and get to the goodies inside. Anyways, I digress. I grabbed the box and the laughing starts... I do that when I'm excited... I laugh. Well I giggle... it sounds kinda creepy but it amuses Kim and Karolyn because they know it means that daddy is in a particularly fine mood. (thank god for families... anyone else would have me committed) So I start savaging the first package... it's big and square and looks like a calander. I'm thinking... it's not a game but I need to keep track of the mortgage and my payperiods and the like and since the folks from the agency are retired we don't get a free one in the mail anymore. So I was good with that idea... but alas... my idea was dashed to the ground... it was a copy of Yaquinto's Swashbuckler! Ok... now this has been one of my grail games since almost day one. I'm speechless... for about a second and then a whoop and a 'right on' draws Kim's attention and Karolyn is looking at the wrapping paper for hidden goodies.

Kim starts to comment but I'm on to the second... yes that's right... second wrapped item. My Secret Santa was so good to me . Kim starts to say, "Hey, that's wrapped" but I'm already stripping it down to it's bare essentials. Now I was still in a bit of a daze from Swashbuckler and so I was kinda thinking... life savers candy box... right size and it kinda rattles a little bit. Now you're asking yourself... why life savers? And I'd tell you that it's the gift I got almost everytime as a kid from other kids or adults who didn't really know me. Plus I like life savers... they're very yummy. But now... again... my thought was derailed and left smouldering in a heap with the calander. Because it's not life savers... it's a copy of G.O.O.T.M.U. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/1908. Now funny thing here... another Canuck has this game and I'd just been bending his ear about maybe doing a trade for it. He looked through my trade list and said, "Naw, nothing here... but... since this is the season of giving... Merry Christmas... give me your addy and I'll send it to ya." I was tickled plaid to say the least but of course I said yes... I mean it's a cool game and he was outstanding to pass it on to me... and in case you're wondering who the heck it is who would do such a grand and wonderful gesture... you can call him bill_galloway. So thank you to Bill for being such a great guy during the Christmas season.

Hmm, oh yeah.. back to the story... well by this time I've got Swashbuckler on my lap and I'm looking over G.O.O.T.M.U. Kim reaches over and grabs the last package... and puts it away! cry Wait... can she do that? Hmmm apparently it's not a question of can she... she's the boss I've just found out... she does have to ability to confiscate prezzies till Christmas. I think it's bogus and so did Karolyn but she also thinks that Barney is a funny well thought out media person. shake

Well there ya go... Secret Santa... you rock beyond belief... I'll tell ya I figured I'd score a cool gift and still end up pining for those grails that you see in the window going to other geeks who were there just that much quicker. But here I had a handful of uber cool games that I wouldn't have expected to see in this lifetime or the next. So thank you for the cool gifts that I know about and thank you for the cool one that Kim wouldn't let me unwrap. They're at work with me right now being looked at with great enjoyment.

Merry Christmas and many blessings to you.

So I got home from work early today I and I see a package sitting on the table. Could it be?! I quickly toss aside the rest of the mail sitting on top of it. I immediately look at the return address. It's from all the way across the country (Washington state) and since I'm not expecting anything else it has to be from my Secret Santa!! I debate not opening it, but the kid inside can't resist. I tear through the packaging and find exactly what I wanted - Agricola (along with a note wishing me a Merry Christmas)!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH SANTA!!

This was an excellent first Secret Santa experience. My kudos to the BGG community!

I should have posted this before, but it's been a pretty busy week for me. Yesterday I was up at 7 am to cook not 1 but 2 turkeys. I should have realized that 2 in the oven at the same time would take longer, so I was really pushing it to get them done and to the central gathering location on time. But it went off fabuously, and now I can relax.

Thank you Santa! A very nice gift!

I received a wonderful game. I've played a friends copy a couple of times, and now I have my own. I'm looking forward to getting some more plays of this in.

I recieved my game today from boards and bits! Roma! I have been watching HBO's Rome recently so I was in the mood for an ancient rome game.

I also got dominion. I played 7 games this past weekend and loved it! This is going to be a classic.

OK Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas tree is up, so it is time to unwrap my SS presents.

I got Taluva which I tried a couple times and really liked.

I also got Memoir '44: Winter/Desert Board Map

My Memoir '44 collection is one step closer to completion. I don't get to play it as often as I'd like, so I haven't bought expansions for a bit. I still want to get them eventually and hope to play more.

Thanks again Santa

EDIT2:
Second package received Thanks

My Secret Santa was very nice to me... We came home to a FedEx notice on our door. A package had been left for us at a neighbor. We were puzzled when we picked up the box and found it was from Thoughthammer (and we don't have an outstanding order with them...)

Opening the box we found Wasabi! and Senji! Wow, what a nice surprise. We've already played Wasabi! today and had a great time (to celebrate we went out for a sushi dinner just to complete the theme!)

I can't wait to play Senji.

Thank you Secret Santa, thank you!

When did this overtext thing happen? Am I supposed to think of something clever to put here?

Thank you so much Santa! I was out of the house today, so my wife informed me of the package arrival. I was very excited while driving home. Santa sent me several great taunts and sent me Colosseum. An excellent choice for me. Santa may even be making a personal visit over the holidays to play some games with me!

Thank you to my secret Santa. A package with two wrapped presents arrived. I'll leave them wrapped till we exchange presents here so I have a month of trying to work out what they are!
