For those of you new to this list, I originally posted this list back in 2006 as a way to let my Santa know when I receive my gift without him/her worrying about divulging their identity. The list has gone well in the last two years and I am curious how large it will grow this year since there are around 1000+ participants this year (529 items in 2006, 874 items in 2007). This is a pretty good place to view the gifting as it progresses through the holiday season, so enjoy!

Use this as a central area to record what our Secret Santas sent us. When you post on this list, you may want to make a note on your profile so your Secret Santa knows to look on the list for your receipt and reaction. That way your Secret Santa can look to see if you received your gift and you can post any comments you may have about the gift here and you can reply without the identity of your Secret Santa ever having to be released!

Please only make an entry when you actually receive the present!

If your Santa sends you more than one item, just list them all in one listing unless you think it makes more sense to list them separately. Remember to include any comments you want your Secret Santa to know!

I don't know about anyone else, but I generally obsess about whether a package has arrived at it's intended destination. I drive my wife crazy with checking tracking numbers constantly! So it will be nice to see when those gifts are actually received by the giftee (or are they just sitting unclaimed on the neighbor's porch?)

To see how the previous two years of Secret Santa-ing have gone on those year's versions of this list, look at these links:

I had a couple of emails from Santa back in November, when the BGGSS got underway... but then all went quiet for about a month, and I started to think Santa had forgotten me...

Anyway late on in December I finally heard from Santa again, telling me that he was ok and that my gift was on the way.... Wooo Hooo!!!

My postie tried to deliver the package on the 23rd while I was out, so I had to go and collect my gift from the Post office on Christmas Eve... this meant I could legitimately wait until Christmas Day to open it, without really having to fight the temptation..

My gift was wrapped in two layers of brown paper, with a cool message on the inside...

It also came with a christmas card, including a hand-drawn cartoon of me beating my hapless opponent at my new game...

As it turns out, I managed to fit in 3 games of Race for the Galaxy on Christmas Day... and beat my brother 2 - 1.

Thanks Awesome Secret Santa for a great present.

Santa sent me a G-Mail a few days ago saying that fungamescafe had my order and to check with Paul in a few days. So after church I'm talking with Paul and find out that he and my wife have already had a chat.

My Wife had given me the not until Christmastalk in very stern tone of voiceangryalready, yet Paul said that when the Gift was wrapped it would go to my wife and not me.

So my wife now knows what Santa has sent me and that means no double gifting.

Santa, Thank You in advance for the gift I will receive on Christmas Eve. I will update this sometime after opening.

I got my presents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/07/2008

Here is a pic!!

Wow Three boxes the red one in the center is HEAVY!!!ninja

Yay So Exited!

So I opened up my presents and what should i find but

Santa You are too generous!!

I just played my first game of C&CA on the 22nd and look forward to many more. Pillars of the earth is gorgeous, and i can't wait to get into race for the galaxy.

You went above and beyond. I truly appreciate your generosity.

My secret Santa was quite efficient in the delivery of my surprise gift this year. It arrived several weeks ago, and my wife made me vow not to open it until we were done with our home improvement projects. Reluctantly, I placed the meticulously-wrapped present under our Christmas tree. This morning I was overjoyed to discover a copy of Keltis! I had been prowling the German eBay site, trying to procure a copy of the "original" version which was awarded the Spiel des Jahres this year. Santa's generosity was both exciting, and also a relief!

However, an unfortunate bureaucratic hurdle called a "customs form" had betrayed Santa's identity to me so long ago. When I sought out my mysterious benefactor to thank him, he informed me that a second gift was coming. This second gift had also been placed under the tree. I was as eager to open it as my sons were to open their gifts...

         Diamonds Club

...what was this? A game with which I was not familiar? Then I saw that it was a new Dorn title, and now I can't wait to get it to the table!

I also need to mention that my Santa made sure that both games had English translations of their German instructions included. Thank you, Santa, for your amazing generosity, and also for your creativity.

Happy holidays, everyone!

I must have been a very, very good girl this year. My Secret Santa sent me a whopping 13 pounds of gaming fun. The box arrived before Thanksgiving, and we had more fun taunting the kids by waiting to open it until today. Santa delivered a total of SEVEN items including...

Hive and the Mosquito expansion
Ingenious
Mr. Jack (I can't wait to play this!)
Race for the Galaxy:Gathering Storm (My husband was looking forward to this)
Ticket to Ride Card Game
Rattlesnake

This was a great selection because everyone in the family got somthing they hoped for.

Thank You Secret Santa!!

With the other games I got this year, this has been one of the best gaming Christmas' ever.

The only problem is that I have come down with a head cold, and even reading the rulebooks is too hard for me to do.

Thank you Secret Santa. You are awesome!

Secret Santa!

WoW! I don't what else to say. You sent, not one, not two, but three really cool games!

Touch of Evil was a perfect choice. I'm looking forward to painting up the figures and playing the game.

Shadowlord! - equally awesome. This was one of the few games I had as a child and I have some very fond memories of playing this with my mom. The copy you sent was pristine. It is beautiful for a 25 year old game. I look forward to sharing this game with my children.

Glory to Rome What an excellent choice. I played this at our monthly game night with fellow geek Rodney.

My Secret Santa rocks! I got TWO of the games on my must have list.

First I unwrapped Ticket to Ride: USA 1910

It was perfect since I was planning to take TtR to my brother's house to teach my family how to play.

Then I unwrapped Pandemic

This is the one game I have really wanted to try.

Thanks Santa, whomever you are!

I received Tichu from Santa a while back. To my surprise, a while later I received an email that another package was going to be arriving soon. The assorted elves and hobbits assigned to its delivery had some problems, but it showed up in time for Christmas - and I showed remarkable restraint in actually waiting for Christmas morning to open it.

Thanks Santa! I haven't heard of Neuland before - I look forward to playing it!

So, I'm reading game rules in bed one night when my girlfriend looks over and says, "What?! We own Race for the Galaxy already?" You see, she had opened my Secret Santa package to individually wrap them for Christmas, so she knew ahead of time what I'd gotten. I didn't unwrap them until today, but she informed my of my blunder a couple weeks ago.

So here's a warning to any of you who might be tempted by a Tanga sale during Secret Santa season. Even if it's just a couple days in. Even if you pull it immediately off your list. Don't do it, don't give in to the temptation. Because odds are your Secret Santa has also jumped on that very same Tanga deal.

Fitting because my own Secret Santa target couldn't wait either, and bought a copy of Dominion from BGG.con before the copy I got him arrived. Good thing I picked him up something else as well, and it shouldn't be hard finding new homes for Race for the Galaxy or Dominion.

Also, my Secret Santa was awesome and picked up a second game from high on my list. Another card heavy Euro game for a recovering MtG addict, Jambo:

Thanks so much Santa for both games, couldn't have made better selections.

I love to travel, and here's one that will definitely get hauled out of the box and brought along on a journey. Been a fan of Entdecker for a while, but it's a longer game for me. We picked up Im Reich der Jadegöttin and Im Reich der Wüstensöhne while in Germany, which are both very fun. This one will be a nice little filler scratching that same exploration itch. Very cool.

And that's not all. My Secret Santa also sent TransEuropa

We've played it once already today, and will surely use it to introduce many more of my friends to games. It's even easier than Ticket to Ride. Next time we play the Vexation expansion (also included by my lovely SS) is getting thrown into the mix for sure.

Waited until Christmas to unwrap.

Somehow my Secret Santa picked up on the fact that I like zombie stuff. Games, movies, whatever...must be the microbadges and my game collection. zombie So I've been getting zombie-related taunts since this thing started, the funniest of which was a trailer for Dead Snow.

The awesome games received were:

The Pillars of the Earth: Expansion Set

and

Ruse & Bruise

The first will allow our group to play Pillars with up to 6 now, and the other already supports 6, so both should see regular play on game nights.

Thanks again, Santa! thumbsup

So I received my Secret Santa package weeks ago but since it was wrapped up in nice xmas paper my wife "convinced" me to wait for the day to open it up. It was quite a feat resisting the temptation to open it up but I was able to due to the threats support of my dear spouse.

So the big day finally came and what did I get in my nice wrapped up package??? The only C&C expansion that I did not own! Thank you Secret Santa for completing my collection. Can't wait to play it!

I patiently waited for Christmas morning, which is a big deal in my family, to open my Secret Santa gift. There had been much analysis and guesswork surrounding it since I had received it around Thanksgiving.

I was thrilled to see that I had received Leader 1 and I thank my Secret Santa for such great taste. The truth is that it was the best kind of gift since it is likely that I would have never gotten it for myself. I also think that this choice showed a certain insight apparent from Santa having reviewed my profile, games played, wishlist, etc.

Leader 1 wasn't the most obvious choice from my wishlist yet it was the only racing game that my heavy-gaming extended family would receive this year. We are excited about the new crop of racing games and having Christmas come and go without the ability to play one of them would have been a disappointment indeed. Thanks again and great job Santa!

I finally received my Secret Santa gift the Christmas day. The FLGS had the mission and they sure kept it secret!
Thank you very much, Santa, this was exactly what I wanted the most! Now, to kick some Cylon ass.

Okay, I know that everyone says they have the BEST Secret Santa, but seriously, there was no better match up than the secret santa targeting of us. Us refers to my boyfriend and I, a fellow BGG'r who flew out from Seattle so we could spend our first Christmas together. So there are two of us and our Santa also has a partner who might just be my doppleganger in Colorado! a little disturbing we're so similar. But the four of us have been exchanging long and hilarious letters since November. We told them that the letters were such great fun it just seemed like icing on the cake to get games as well! They said well, maybe they'll just keep the games then. But they relented and sent a large package to DC, and yesterday we FINALLY (since we were good kids and WAITED) got to open our pressies from them. First off, this is how they looked when we took them out of the package

fantastic and Hilarious wrapping paper! We sliced this off really carefully and found wrapping underneath that we could tear into! Here is the booty under our Christmas Pirate
as you can see we got Zapp Zerapp (one i've wanted for a long time) we also got Ghost Stories which was top on Nate's list and I JUST got to play the other day and LOVED!!! HOOORAY!!! The little Hannukah gift was Animalia A favorite of my 11 year old friend I game with! Can't wait to play it again We also got Meepile and 2 Killer Bunnies promo cards!

Our Secret Santas were FANTASTIC and we're going to spend all boxing day in our pj's playing our new games! A more perfect day I simply could not imagine. If our Santas are reading, you should maybe keep your eyes peeled for a litle new years gift.

Thanks of course to our Secret Santa and her elf cohort and to Tom for putting it all together and for everyone who made this all so fun with subterfuge and sneakery and great gifts of games!

This may seem like a late thank-you, but my 12 year old daughter hid the game in her room so I wouldn't peek. She couldn't remember exactly when she got it but thinks it was close to a month ago. I was suprised when I found an extra wrapped gift under the tree Christmas morning!

So many thanks Santa! There are some wives who may not be as appreciative as I am since four of my buudies are heading over today to play.

So I know 4 others who would like to say thanks also!
