Hello fellow Board Game Geeks. Michael Schacht and I would like to invite you to participate in a Coloretto Expansion Card Contest.
An action card can work however you like. Maybe its drawn from the deck and placed in a row, put in front of you, or given to another player. Maybe everyone is given one card in secret at the beginning of the game.
To enter add an item for each card idea. The card should have some sort of name and description as to how it works. You may enter as many ideas that you have.
Winners will be announced on Saturday, April 4th. There will be four winning entries. One that will be decided by BGG users who can vote on all the entries they like by giving then a thumbs up . The other 3 will be chosen by Coloretto designer, Michael Schacht.
I will add a couple of my own that gave me the idea of the contest. I've also set the list to sort by game average to try to randomize it a bit hopefully.
Be sure to check back often to vote check out and vote on the latest entries!
Update: It has been brought to my attention that I didn't really specify a deadline. After speaking with Michael Schacht we decided to set the deadline at March 28th so that he has time to make his selections. Also, I'm going to try to change up how the entries are ordered every so often so that we can hopefully rotate the ones that are up front. I'll have to see how this works. Lasty, Michael whipped up the following image to go along with the contest.
UPDATE April 5th: Sorry been a bit busy of the weekend and Michael has been out of town. Hope to have the winners announced tomorrow.

Select Row Immediately or "Ordered Retreat"
This card is shuffled into the deck like normal cards. When drawn, the player who drew it must immediately choose a row to select, effectively ending the round for that person. This card does not count as positive or negative points against the person who drew it.

Discard Row or "Quarantine"
This card is shuffled into the deck like normal. When drawn, the player who drew it immediately chooses and discards a row from play. This will leave one player without cards at the end of the round. In this instance, the player who did not get a row draws the first card of the new round.

Neutralize Row (actually "Quarantine" works as a name for this too)
A slight variation on my other idea, this card is shuffled into the deck as normal and also played out onto a row like normal. However, that row when chosen by any player will be discarded, along with any color cards it contains. No one gets the cards, and the person who chose the row winds up getting no points for the round.
The variation here is that you may wind up neutralizing an otherwise good row for an opponent. Or, you could choose this row because all other rows offer worse options. No points is occasionally the best you can do.

Landslide (Disaster):
Draw and draft like any other card. A player who drafts the row containing Landslide must discard 1 card from each of his or her 2 highest colors, and keep Landslide as a +3 card. If 3 or more colors are tied for the highest, pick any 2.

+5 Card When a player draws this card they place it in front of themselves. At this point the player also specifies 2 colors (ie. Green and Yellow). Whenever another plays a card in a row that combines these two colors they take the +5 card for themselves.

Swap.
Option #1: Each player receives one "Swap" card at the beginning of the game. On any turn, instead of drawing a card or taking a row, the player may use his Swap card to exchange one of his cards with another player's card.
Option #2: "Swap" cards are placed in the draw deck as normal, and placed in rows as normal. When a player takes a row with a Swap card, that player must exchange one of his own cards with another player's card (even if swapping does not benefit him).

The "Thief"
Draft and play the "Thief" like normal.
On any future turn you choose to draw a card, if you have a "Thief" you have the option of immediately adding the drawn card to your score pile. After being used once, discard the "Thief".
If you keep the "Thief" until the end of the game, it scores nothing.

The Double Down
Play and draft like any other card.
When you collect the double down, it must be assigned to a color you already have. When scoring, it counts as two cards of the chosen color. If you collect any more of that color however, they must go to a new scoring stack that counts separately.

Refresh
This card is placed on a row as per the normal game rules. When a player takes this row, he places this card in front of him. By itself, the card scores no points, but at any point during the game, a player can discard this card to refresh the remaining rows on the table, making sure that the number of cards in each row remains the same. This can be done when all rows are still available, or after other players have taken rows.
